Myself and my partner dine here often as, quite honestly, we've yet to find a place with food as quality as here locally or even further afield! The Sunday dinners are absolutely beautiful! Beautifully presented, incredible flavours, the meat falls apart, just stunning, we've also tried their curries and burgers which were equally incredible, the standout for us was valentines night 2024, we came for a romantic evening and both decided on a steak as it's our favourite meal and I can genuinely say it was the most tender, flavoursome and perfectly cooked steak we've ever had and we've been counting down the days to have another one!.. The staff are so attentive and nothing is ever too much especially when we've dined with our 3-year old, they've been amazing with her, and the landlord and landlady are always walking around checking if you're enjoying your time. Went here a couple of weeks ago for Sinday lunch. I am very particular about my Sunday roast as my wife cooks a fantastic lunch and despite many visits to various pubs over the years we have been together I can count on one hand those that I would go to and one is not close by and some of the others have long shut down, so I am always a bit apprehensive going out fir Sunday roas as I am invariably disappointed. My wife had heard excellent things about the Mount pleasant so we decided to give it a go, and I have to say it's easily one of tge best that we have had Excellent ingredients and reasonably priced, plus you get a Yorkshire pudding and mint sauce regardless of your meat choice! Would definitely recommend And if you have booked a table and can't make it for whatever reason phone and let them know it's a small place and someone else could have your booking , lost tables can kill a small business and this place...

Jack, family, and team have done an excellent job in refreshing the pub since taking over in 2022, it is welcoming, comfortable, and clean. Wide selection of beers, ciders (including 4x Thatchers), and spirits featuring popular brands. TVs at both ends of the bar play all the football, etc. Sunday is Roast Dinner (booking in advance highly recommended), Monday is Curry & Pint, Tuesday is Pie & Pint. All food is well priced and high quality, it is worth trying it all, highlights include the triple cooked chips and the pies which have just the right balance of meat, sauce, and pastry. Often live entertainment such as singers on a Friday, and special events such as the recent Easter picnic basket and Mother’s Day meals.
