I have had lunch here before and gone to the exhibition and decided to go again while in Cwmbran for lunch and to see if I could pick up a piece of art for my daughter for Christmas. The bread and soup was delicious however one of the waitresses stood moaning the entire time about the building work going on in her house in a very loud voice.
I said to the receptionist about it and she informed me she is the Education managers daughter as if that would intimidate me into retracting my comments and when I pointed out customers don't want to hear about how long the builder is taking and that she hasn't got any time to herself she informed me that the member of staff was a very good friend of hers and went back to being busy on her mobile phone which she had being looking at from when I first walked in the building so I do realise that there is no point talking to someone who also has no customer service skills.
I just wish I had got the name of the company as by all accounts the plaster didn't turn up and everything else went wrong and they have to take there toiletries out of the bathroom every night and go round their Nan's everyday etc before the man went sick with an injury as they don't sound a great company either.
I doubt I will visit this...
Read moreThere aren’t many places like Llantarnam Grange Cafe, somewhere just away from the busy, loud town centre, to sit and relax and enjoy a tea or coffee and a bite to eat. I’ve been coming to Llantarnam Grange Cafe for many years and it’s been lovely to see this cafe get busier and busier, especially recently! The afternoon tea events are such a wonderful treat to gift someone, I can’t wait for the next one. I’ve just seen someone win a free afternoon tea for Valentine’s Day on their Facebook page too! I’d absolutely recommend giving this little cafe a try if you haven’t already, there’s also an art gallery to wonder around if there’s a bit of a queue or if you’re waiting for a...

I brought this to the attention of the assistant manager. The bacon had been left on the plate as it could not be eaten. He stated that there were new staff in the kitchen and that he would “feed it back”. No apology…..then asked if I wanted more bacon. I had already eaten my breakfast and was actually leaving. Customer service at its very best, or not as the case may be. Breakfast...
