This café is one of the sweetest, calmest places I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. On holiday with my family, we spent days searching for anywhere in Carmarthenshire for a place that sold cream teas! We finally found it here: The Owl & The Pussycat. The staff were very friendly, accommodating, and cheerful, and the cream teas were absolutely delicious. They were lovely, even though we had arrived almost on closing time; we didn't feel rushed in the slightest. We all loved it so much that we came back for breakfast again, and we were not disappointed, the standard of food lovely yet again. What charmed me most about this gorgeous little café was its atmosphere - the sound of the kitchen and people working was just audible, but other than that it was very calm, and the calm chitchat of others around us was quite muted; perfect for me to be inspired and continue with my writing. This is a wonderful little place, and if I ever visit Laugharne again, that's where I...

A short walk from Laugharne castle and in the centre of the village, we Went in here for lunch on three occasions whist staying locally in Laugharne last week. Really well cooked fluffy jacket potatoes and, as described by my wife, the best gluten free cheese and tomato toasties that I’ve had in ages! Staff were welcoming and helpful. We ended up having the same corner window table on all three occasions we were there which was lovely. This place is also dog friendly and our pup was welcomed. There is a sign outside saying “dog lover’s...

Walked in after seeing the beautiful castle and was accosted instantly told there were no seats. Asked if the kids could sit at the 2 table and me and my husband could sit on the two vacant seats, not allowed. Asked for takeaway which was fine. Stood there for 10 minutes with no one acknowledging us, there was someone behind the counter. Waitress serving food came out and I said that it looked lovely to be huffed at. My husband got fed up and we walked out. Only locals welcome there I gather, their...

I had such a lovely time at The Owl and Pussycat Tearooms in Carmarthen! The atmosphere is incredibly cosy with really great vibes, making it the perfect spot to relax. The dogs were super comfortable and clearly at home, which added such a warm, welcoming touch. We absolutely loved the coffee and scones—they were delicious! Definitely a place I’d recommend for anyone looking for a charming and friendly tearoom experience.

Stopped in for a quick bite before seeing the Castle and Dylan Thomas Boathouse. Lovely place on the Grist, serving up sandwiches, toasties, paninis and jacket potatoes- along with lovely teas, coffees and cakes. When we mentioned it was my friend’s birthday they made it special. The gluten free cakes were some of the best we’ve ever enjoyed. Don’t miss the cheesecake or carrot cake. Both were fab! Highly recommended.

A very sweet little café with friendly and welcoming staff and a cosy atmosphere. There was a good selection of savoury food on offer but we opted for the Victoria sponge and the Bakewell tart. The Bakewell tart in particular was delicious, and served warm with a scoop of ice cream. Very good coffee as well. If we're in the area again we'll certainly be stopping by
