Be warned: this establishment has now changed hands and the quality has taken a nosedive. Some of us ordered Steak & Ale Pie there 2 days ago. When it came, mine contained 4 small chunks of tough beef. The rest was mixed vegetables and of the ale there was no olfactory trace. It was served in a small china dish with a rectangle of (previously) frozen pastry placed on top Beside it there were chips, peas and a small salad in a bowl. The peas were cold and the salad was without dressing. The chips, however, were excellent and came with a small bowl of ketchup for dipping. I enjoyed the chips; the rest was extremely disappointing. We were not surprised that, despite it being about 8 pm on a Saturday evening, nobody else in the place was eating. (Fabian and Nazra have now moved further up Temple Street, where they have opened Fabian's Kitchen - which I recommend...

Tables were cleaned thoroughly between customers. The food was served to us in the carvery with a good choice of meats and vegetables. All the staff encountered were very friendly. Overall, a very good experience and am happy...

The coliflower cheese was made with a powder sauce which hadnt been mixed properly and lumped up in places. Roast potatoes where rock hard cold and bland. Carrots tasted of mud. Yorkshire puddings where solid and seemed to have come straight out of the fridge. Ended up leaving without eating hardly any of our meals and went to Tesco for a meal deal. Even the cola...
