Fresh Fills — Restaurant in Wales

Trust us to get served by the woman with an attitude! No welcome here, in fact no words at all just the look of disdain, only after I ordered did she speak by telling me the price then pushing the card machine about 2 inches in my direction so I had to lean across the counter to swipe my card. ! No wonder most of the shops in the area are charity shops. We're two OAP's needing a midday coffee after visiting family & the local area. Not sure where all these fantastic service reviews come from, our service was bordering on offensive, guess it would be fine for locals or builders!. The coffee was a very weak cup of instant (asked for a flat white) which we both left as it looked disgusting. Luckily we found a great cafe on the way back, in Rhayader (Lost Arc cafe) where the service, coffee & food were excellent..and no...

It was a lovely day so we sat outside and enjoyed a nice pot of tea. We ordered toasted two tea cakes as well, which seemed to take an age to arrive, despite the cafe not being busy. One tea cake arrived, the other missing, has the assistant said it had been burnt, the one that did arrive should have also been discarded as it was burnt too and like a piece of cardboard. Nice tea but do not recommend...

Excellent food, friendly staff, amazing service and great coffee. We felt welcome as soon as we walked through the door. Our food was ordered at the counter, we took our seats and our food was cooked and brought over very promptly. All staff had smiles for the customers and were wonderfully polite. The food was well cooked and tasty. Will definitely recommend to our guests and we will be going...
