On arrival the place was empty 6pm so felt a bit awkward, shown to table by the host. Considering we were first there, there was no rush to get menus to us. When the host did bring them, he was very pleasant asking why we were there etc, but then went on to explain the menu in detail which tbh was straight forward. He mentioned not to order too many tapas at the time save them going cold which was a good comment. The wine was very nice when it arrived. We were offered bread and oil, which is normally given to start with while waiting for food to be cooked, but it was not served until the other dishes were ready, which defeated the option in my opinion, we had hummus which also came with a lot of bread and there was also bread on one of the other dishes too, so if we had known that we wouldn’t have ordered the bread and oil One dish Paprika mushrooms was over spiced for both of us, which we mentioned when he came to collect the plates, but he very offhandedly said well they are paprika mushrooms. No offer to replace or remove them from the bill The other tapas were ok, but we have had far better in other places We had deserts which were very nice, but my wife thought they would have been better...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of enjoying lunch, coffee, and cake at this charming restaurant & café, and I can honestly say it was the best vegetarian and gluten-free meal I've ever had. The food was exceptional, and the cozy, lovingly crafted ambiance made the experience even more delightful. I found myself wishing I could try everything on the menu.
The owner was incredibly kind and helpful, adding a personal touch that made my visit even more enjoyable. The stunning artwork hanging on the walls was a beautiful addition, enhancing the overall atmosphere of the place. Also, the café is dog-friendly, which was a lovely bonus. I ended up in Llandrindod due to a breakdown and had a few unpleasant experiences, but this wonderful spot truly sweetened my time there and made me forget my worries. If you're in the area, don't...
Read moreWhat can I say… one of the best places I have eaten for a very long time, the most amazing space where every detail is considered for the benefit of customers - interesting music (not too loud), fantastically original menu with a great selection of wines - our food was accompanied by a delicious crisp rosé. The crispy aubergine with agave syrup were amazing, the battered olives truly inspired and the sesame halloumi making a spicy contrast. I highly recommend saving a space for dessert, it was a tough decision, but we had the lightest French apple cake and the amazing baked Basque cheesecake. Adam was an extremely welcoming and knowledgeable co-owner. My only regret is that Bradley’s isn’t closer to Oxfordshire! We will definitely be back....
