Disappointing Experience from Start to Finish

​Our visit was unfortunately an extremely poor one. We placed our order at the counter and our drinks arrived quickly, within five minutes, which initially gave us a good impression – especially with the attractive "coolie" on the table. This "wow factor" set an expectation for our breakfast that was sadly not met.

​Despite the restaurant not being particularly busy, our breakfast took 30 minutes to arrive. We were shocked by the poor quality, Both plates of food were stone cold! The hash brown was barely warm, anemic-looking, and sloppy. The other plate featured overcooked scrambled eggs that were dry, powdery, and again, completely cold served on cold toast.

​We sent both plates back. While they attempted to rectify the situation, the second attempt still lacked any "wow factor" for the cost, leaving us very disappointed. They did offer additional drinks, which we accepted, but the espresso was so bitter I couldn't drink it, it they think that is acceptable, they need to taste test on what they are serving.

​Overall, the entire experience was very poor. It felt like they had all the right equipment and aesthetic ("all the gear") but lacked the execution and quality ("no idea").

If it was good from the go, i'd be happy, but what was paid for the whole experience we both feel that we have been let down.

Would we return?? Unfortunately Not, there are better places to go and not as costly.

Prestatyn High Street Tu Mundo means your world (how lovely) ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS The Tuk Afternoon Tea £23 yes the best we all agreed we have ‘ever’ reviewed 🥳. Served on a bird cake stand (a theme in this cafe, just look at the fab wallpaper) Not all sandwiches, ham&mustard sandwich, creme cheese and cucumber brioche bun, lemon chicken wrap, mini quiche, mini Yorkshire pudding with beef&horseradish and prawn cocktail lots of prawns in shot glasses delicious 👏👏that’s just the savoury phew then we started on the sweet stuff lemon drizzle/ bisscoff rocky road/coffee&walnut/white chocolate&raspberry cheesecake/Victoria sponge/fruit tart/scone jam &proper cream 😁 plus the grapes and strawberries chasing around the cakes. They do a Vegan and Gluten free version 👍. Free refills of tea and coffee or fruit juices for those of us not tea drinkers. Tu Mundo is a relatively new cafe in Prestatyn high street, but it is definitely becoming a firm favourite. I have called in many times for coffee & cake, breakfast and lunch.

There is a wide selection of dishes available and they cater for dietary requirements. Photographed are a breakfast, choc orange vegan mousse cake, vegan pancakes, couscous. There is a really good selection of vegan cakes to be had so sometimes I feel spoilt for choice.

The ambiance is pleasant, food & drink quality and choice is very good, it’s very colourful inside and the staff are great.

(I would have given Tu Mundo 5 stars as technically they deserve it, for choice, quality and service, BUT, there is a charge of 50p for non-dairy milk. In this day and age, I don’t think charging fifty pence for a small jug of oat or soya milk can be justified. I have always found charges for non dairy milk to be discriminatory as I have a...
