Such a shame. This is a lovely location with an excellent view.

We visited at 7pm on 9/8/24. This was for my birthday. I asked for a window table. We were greeted very nicely and taken to the window table.

Order was taken quickly and drinks arrived.

Food arrived and was banged onto the table by a young girl (i think she was new) she then walked away as I was asking for condiments. I tried to catch the waiters attention but in the end after a few mins went to ask for them myself.

Food was nice - nothing special but nice.

We then asked for a desert menu as they collected our plates. We were given one.

25 mins later we could still not get anyone to take another drinks order and deserts order. (even though staff were right next to us we could not catch their eye)

They were not busy - just busy clearing tables.

acoustics were not good so it was very loud and the music was annoying as you could not hear it - just a noise. Not needed really in my opinion.

We eventually got someones attention but asked for the bill and left.

We booked a table for this restaurant through their online booking system for 7PM yesterday evening. As we wanted a table by the window, we called up to see if this was possible for our booking. The restaurant phone was not being answered when we called so the phone went through to the hotel reception. The receptionist advised that she would need to check with the restaurant and would call us back. She did call back and advised that we could have a window table but that it would not be available until 8PM. We agreed to change the booking time to 8PM. When we arrive at the restaurant for 8PM, they have no record of our booking !!!!!!! ?????. Pure incompetent, lacklustre staff and a waste of our time. Dreadful service and we will NEVER go to this restaurant again and will advise anyone we come into contact with to avoid the place. Reputations are built on...

Food was great today for Mother’s Day but desserts all too creamy. Tried the duck egg custard but arrived as just a thin slice on a large white plate. Could have been served with a few berries and dusted with icing sugar to look more inviting. Can’t fault the service. Very noisy in here which was made worse with the live singer who was sooooo loud. Some people left after eating as you could not have a conversation. Please please turn the microphone down.
