Ramen and yakisoba was bland. But what really made me to not come back here again is even after I told the waiter that my mother in law has dementia and I can't make her move anymore to make more room so that we can squeeze in one table (we automatically filled in 2 tables because of this and it wasn't busy so we thought that was ok) , the waiter still insisted that he needs us to fit in one table. It wasn't even busy, it was 11:30am, the place was almost empty. My friend had to raise her voice a bit and say "we want 2 tables" just to get the message across because he really "needed" us to fit in one table. After that, he realised and said I didn't know you needed 2 tables. Maybe more training about disabilities because he obviously missed my point about me not being able to make my mother in law move. I could understand that he was trained to fit one party on one table if possible and make sure wheelchairs and pushchairs are not blocking the way for other customers (yeah we had a wheelchair and pushchair with us that's why we went on a quiet time), but I just wished he was more understanding and listened to me when I said I can't make my mother in law move anymore that's why we automatically filled in the table next to us. It wasn't entirely his fault, he was just programmed that way, just doing his job. But again, a little bit more empathy would have been nice. We did get our 2 tables because my mother in law never moved. If it wasn't for her not moving, I would have just got up and move to a different restaurant. This is just a personal experience. The waiter still served us professionally. With a smile that he has mastered working in a customer facing environment...
Read moreIt just didn't feel like the spirit of good food is there. I believe the heart of a good food is not just about the ingredients, presentation and aesthetic of a place - but the passion and creativity of the chefs, I know everything in a chain restaurant is measured and protocol is followed but, there is still an element of heart to it.
Anyway, I don't normally write a review like this but I'm bored and, I was really hoping for a good Yakitori chicken to end the workweek but they came burnt. So avoiding carcinogens (and I'm sure they're everywhere) this one was just covered in char. Anyway in all fairness I had a discount, and just got a different starter, I feel like more could be done.
Also maybe the challenge in the cost in living is affecting the portion sizes and everything. I didn't feel like the meal for both of us was worth it.
Wagamama I know you can do better food than this mate. One positive I could say is I liked the Positive Green smoothie/refresher. It was good.
Had the Shiu's chicken and my partner had the vegan katsu. Taste was OK, but you know, if you got this far in reading, it didn't have this, oh my god this is good feeling, it lacked spirit a bit. Anyway I hope you guys improve your menu, and make it exciting every year or like make up a new dish now and again.
Thanks for the...
Read moreMy parents are both disabled (Mum blind and hard of hearing, and my Dad is very short sighted) and came here just for something to eat and somewhere to sit.
They didn’t know what the restaurant was called but they told me that the 2 people who served them (a woman and a man) that guided my parents to a seat outside were both very patient, considerate and kind. I was incredibly surprised that the waitress offered a braille menu for my parents to look through, as they both had no clue what restaurant it was and didn’t think they would offer something like that. The waiter was very patient as both my parents looked through the menu deciding what to choose. My Mum was able to read the menu clearly she said and be able to pick what she wanted with ease, as well as my Dad.
The food they enjoyed and the drinks that were served to them were lovely as well. Although they said it was quite expensive for what they were getting compared to the portion size, they didn’t mind.
I am more appreciative by the people that helped and made it a much more easier experience for my parents, which is my main reason for my review....
