The New Curiosity — Restaurant in Wales

I recently dined at The New Curiosity with my wife and team from work and we had an exceptional experience. We all indulged in the 3-courses and each dish was simply amazing. The quality of the food was top-notch, and I was impressed by the flavors and presentation of each course.

The staff at The New Curiosity were outstanding. Especially Rachel the owner and Manager, we found her to be very attentive, friendly, and provided excellent service throughout the meal. The professionalism and hospitality added to the overall dining experience. You could see they truly cared for their customers and wanted to make sure they had a good experience. We even go to meet Dan the owner and chef at the end of the night, which was lovely and he sat and spoke with us telling us all of his stories from when he started and how he became a chef.

What stood out to me the most was the reasonable pricing for such high-quality food. The value for money at The New Curiosity is truly remarkable, considering the level of culinary excellence and service provided.

Had a 3 course Sunday Roast here and it was incredible.

Starter of roasted garlic, tomato and basil soup was very good with some crusty bread and real, soft butter with it. Perfect appetiser on a cold day.

The Sunday Roast itself was delicious - I had the pork and my girlfriend had the chicken. Meat was cooked perfectly, plenty of gravy, loads of delicious vegetables as well - red cabbage, crispy roasties and mash, glazed parsnips & carrots and more. Big portions.

Had the affogato for dessert which was unreal. The vanilla and salted caramel ice cream with the Teifi coffee was so so good.

Cosy atmosphere, food brought out promptly and the staff were friendly and attentive. Very reasonably priced menu too considering the quality. Really was a 10/10 experience.

We were sat by the bar and could hear the other customers’ comments as they paid for their meals, and every one of them was full of praise too… one man said it was the best roast he’d had all year (and I’d have to agree!).

Will definitely be coming back and will be recommending to anyone...

Four of us arrived to celebrate a birthday - from the moment we stepped in the service was impeccable. One look at the menu and we all knew we were in trouble - so much choice how could you make up your mind what to have! We all chose different starters - pate, garlic tomato and basil soup, Thai spiced prawn tom yum broth and goats cheese and hazelnut cheesecake - all absolutely delicious- for mains we had sea bass, chicken, duck and boeuf bourginon - well seasoned so tasty and absolutely delicious and all piping hot. While we were eating we were asked several times if everything was ok and if we needed more drinks - they brought water to the table 3 times while we were there the service was so attentive. Only two of us could fit in a dessert - the most sublime vanilla panacotta - I would highly recommend the New Curiosity - what a gem of a place we will definitely...
