Been going for nearly 4 years as a student, has been solid about every time. The food can vary in qualify depending on what you get, though I've never been disappointed by anything here except the paninis. Do reccommend the lasagna or pasta. The dessert portions are very, very small, however, especially compared to its neighbor, Athro Lounge, which has a comparable price. The food can be on the pricey side overall, but some of the aforementioned options such as the curries and pastas can be cheaper than, say, burgers. The free refills on coffee is also quite nice.
It's a popular spot for students, especially on holidays, so you're unlikely to ever see it empty or not busy to some degree. However, the staff are quick, and the spaces usually plenty. The bathrooms are also quite nice, large enough to generally avoid a queue and upstairs from the diner, so it's quiet. The place is also very clean.
Right next to the train station, so makes for a nice place to wait for people incoming or before a departure.
Solid 8/10. Never had a negative experience aside from it being very loud, so bring headphones if you're sensitive to that! Would label at £1-10, as I spent about £9 for a pasta and a coffee most recently, but most...
Read moreThis location is in the heart of Aberystwyth, with the bus station on the left and a public footway shared with the train station, making access quite easy. There are also free public facilities available. The staff is very nice, helpful, and friendly. You will also locate a Lidl supermarket and a Matalan store on the right side of this location. Overall, this is a fantastic area to spend some quality time. The seaside is only about a half-mile ahead. There are several tourist attractions nearby, including the seaside and Cliff Railway, which are highly recommended. The view from the top of the hill is quite enjoyable. You will also find a restaurant and play area up there on the top of the hill. You can go by walk or cable car/train as well.
Overall must visit place for short trip/ holiday. Can go alone, couple, or family with kids . If you want a quiet place to sit you will find a public park opposite to Lidl supermarket , also kids play area is there to spend some good time with kids as well.
Trains to Birmingham or connectivity to Birmingham, Manchester and Shrewsbury is very good . Ticket machine are available there or you can buy online . Must visit...
Read moreYour casual wetherspoons. Bit pricier than one in my town but service is quick and foods really good for the price also. One thing that holds this place food standard down for me is the bun selection for burgers. Feels like the somebody just decided to grab the cheapest rolls out of tesco/aldi and slab really good meat in it. Looks okay-ish but falls apart at first touch. Not the greatest if you wanna burger that somewhat holds and also looks and tastes great.
Had 2 coctails pitchers for 15£ - blue lagoon and mango monster mash. It easily comes to 4 glasess of drinks if you let the ice melt. Tastes really good! Price wont be easy to beat. Most places sells 2 glasses for that price.
Busy place right next to train station well close to the centre, staff on their toes, hiwever they do find some time to check on you as they walk past and let you know youre the next in queue for order if youre waitin on a said of the bar. Thumbs up.
Last one thing that really makes the mark for me, and not a good one, are sticky tables. Really need a good clean. Feels bit filthy.
All in all 8 maybe 9 out of 10. Clean the tables and change the rolls and...
