A lovely beach located near to Aberystwyth castle ruins -worth a visit. There is parking available my advise is to come early to avoid the crowds. The beach itself is a nice sized pebble and shingle type sediment beach, which was very clean when I went to visit. The water quality was to a high quality too. Dogs are welcome on one side of the beach. Toilets are a bit of a walk though, they are located near the castle ruins with a 20p charge. Read moreAlthough a stoney beach, it's good for swimming, we are also using a SUP. When the tide is out the harbour wall at one side and rocks/reef at the other shelter a good part of it from the wind, so there are less waves (great if you like a chilled SUP session or are learning) PD diner have a hut there which is great for coffee snacks and ice-cream, there are toilets just over the back of the which is not too far away. The Hut....sells hot drinks, ice creams, snacks and more and is easy to find....at the junction where South Road joins the Prom.
