This restaurant is the most dishonest I have come across. First I ordered ordered lamb curry from them about 2 months ago and went to pick it up only to realise when I got home that they gave me chicken instead but I just left that. Then I ordered food again on Christmas Day at 2am while at work and was told that it will be delivered at 3am. I called back at 3:30am only to find the restaurant were closed for the night. I called them yesterday to ask for a refund as they never delivered my food but they argued that the driver went to deliver my food and apparently couldn’t reach both my phone numbers so he left it with the receptionist. There is no receptionist at 2am at my work place and I never received text or voicemail indicating they tried to call me. Now I think this restaurant makes a habit of cheating people of their money at every opportunity. The guy on the phone yesterday was shouting at me and telling me they delivered my food and won’t give me a refund which they never did. Avoid these cheaters...
Read moreI had travelled up from london for two days and had heard that Dera was a place i had to try. I wasnt going to miss the opportunity. Upon arrival to the restaurant i was welcomed with amazing hospitality by one off the staff members and was seated in the main area. The decor was amazing, and i wanted to check the private section they had reserved for “women ans families only” and it felt as if i was in a restaurant in the middle east. Decor 10/10
For starters i ordered lamb chops. Portion size was generous. The meat was so tendor and cooked perfect, and the flavours were to the “T”. Starters 10/10
For mains i orderes both the lamb/chicken kharahi. Out of the two chicken kharahi won for me however it was a difficult decision. The flavours, presentation and skills all put into the dishes and rotis made me feel i was home away from home Overall my experience was perfect, and had no complaints. Its the best place to go to and am bringing my family up in 3 weeks to try the...
Read moreI visited Derawalsall yesterday with my friend and had the seekh kebab and haleem—as always, the food was excellent. I come here regularly because the taste and quality never disappoint.
However, I was quite disappointed with the attitude and behavior of the person behind the counter—the one who was taking phone orders and handling payments. This isn’t the first time I’ve noticed his rude and dismissive behavior towards customers. I’m not sure if he’s the owner or just a staff member, but his way of speaking is extremely unprofessional and unfriendly.
No matter how good the food is, a bad customer service experience can ruin the entire visit. Good hospitality is just as important as good food.
I hope this feedback reaches the owner or management and that necessary steps are taken to improve customer service. I genuinely like this place, and it would be great to see it grow with better...
