As a business owner I would never want to leave a negative review without justification. I popped in to this pub yesterday with my girlfriend. She is a local girl and she had never been in before. It was her birthday and we had been given a recommendation by a friend.
My girlfriend sat down and I waited at the bar (in the snug) to be served. Two girls behind the bar were chatting away and didn't notice me. I then spotted someone I knew in the bar and waved. This grabbed the attention of the barmaid (a young girl with blonde hair). She came over, didn't greet me and raised her eyebrow.
I decided I best start the conversation, so I asked for a Pinot Grigio. She quickly and rudely responded with 'we dow do that in ere'. I waited for a counter offer from her, but no response.
I got the feeling I wasn't welcome, so I told my girlfriend we're leaving. Still no response or acknowledgement from the barmaid. A real pity because it seemed like a nice little pub.
