Place looked dated, and I definitely think it could do a with a spruce up. We were shown to a table. Unfortunately, it was in the family section opposite some noisy kids. When we had sat originally at a more secluded table, but it had piles of plates on it. The assistant asked us to move rather than clear it. So our quiet meal was not going to happen. We chose the half chicken, but the assistant told us that they only had 1 serving left and a quarter of chicken! So I asked if I had the ¼ one if I could have something . She said no, but I can have the ¼ on a different dish, which was a couple more quid. I had hoped for the reduced price or maybe a burger thrown in instead. I couldn't be bothered to argue. We was lovely, the chicken was succulent, and chips were fluffy inside. But the half chicken was more like half a pigeon in size. The smallest chicken I've seen, though,it tastes good. Drinks were separate. She only half filled my cup, and I had to call her back to top it up. The coffee wasn't the best and could've been hotter. And unlike Wetherspoons, I was disappointed to find they didn't refill my cup afterwards. It was a nice meal, more expensive than I had wanted to pay originally expected for a night out. We'd only gone there because it was near. We usually go to Wetherspoons, but we felt like a change. We'll be sticking to whether in the future.

In the time since I have last been here I feel the overall quality of the food has declined. This includes the unlimited salad bar the taste from the salad left a bland taste in my mouth including from the pasta. I was in a group of people when ordering food and they had made a slight error in one person's meal and I am almost certain they had originally forgotten my order so they quickly fixed the person who was with me's order and probably quickly threw my stuff together as despite ordering the same as one of the people in my group my food looked different to theirs. The burger in the end tasted pretty good and the onion rings were tasty, however the chips were lacking some and it felt they were quick to go cold. The waiter we had serving us at least was still really good, nice and friendly and made sure we enjoyed our food, although as they weren't completely certain as to some things I presume they are newer but I am sure that is something they will improve at the more time they spend working here so not going to fault them on it.

At the end of the day it's a harvester.. food is decent enough.. I went for tapas style.. a bunch of starters and they were all good .. I especially enjoyed the calamari. Nachos would have been better with cheese instead of cheese sauce... The salad bar was actually quite minimal, I've had more choice at other harvesters. The restuarant had double booked two large groups mine and another and after some confusion were told ro come half an hour later, which we did, we were told there may be a bit of a wait for food. Fine. Everything eventually comes all is well, steak was over cooked unfortunately. They have good kids options, I should have just got my son salad he ate that and was full.. When it came to ordering extra drinks.or desserts there was a delay, they had actually forgot our requests having asked someone else to do it who asked some one else and it never got done. Our booking was clearly not a priority but hey we came, we saw, we ate. I wouldn't not go back, but I wouldn't rush to either.

I have been to multiple harvesters over the years.

Went here on Tuesday as our local Harvester was full. Walked in and was standing at the front desk for a good 2-3 minutes before a staff member said they would be with us in a minute, took a good 3-4 minutes to get to us even after this, felt ridiculous considering many staff members saw us waiting to be seated.

You could tell the staff were all completely flustered and understaffed running around. We were given a table for 6 people because our table for 2 was still occupied ( in reality the staff haven’t cleaned up lots of the tables as the left over food was laying around everywhere after people had eaten and gone). Really makes the experience feel dirty walking past all of this.

Once we sat down we had no service including tables near to us with a family not being served at all, so my wife had to go up with a menu and just order ourselves directly including the other family.

After this we went for our free salads which was also a complete mess with a few ladies waiting around having pointed out to staff multiple salad sections were empty etc, sauces not filled up too and we had to ask for restock.

Needs improvement , we have been to this one twice before only due to convenience and it has given an issue every time. Prior to this one we were sat in the bar section yet there were lots of tables in the dining area and was a weird experience as the salad bar is a big walk away from the bar ? The first time we were here of the only 2 veggie options, one we wanted was “out of stock” on that day so had no choice what we could eat essentially that time.

It makes no sense for there to be a venue this big as although there was a fair few people there, it was not even half full and this was...

Where do I start? Ordered 2 pints of Carling, tasted of washing up liquid, they were changed no problems. Every time I went to the bar numerous staff behind it but not one of them wanted to serve, too busy talking. Food was dry, chicken in particular was awful, ribs were dry too, not sure how you can have dry ribs with all the sauce that is on them🤷 mixed grill's were rubbish, again dry chicken, bought it home for my cat and he wouldn't eat it. Chips tasted of onions so had obviously been cooked with the onion rings in in the same pan after onion rings had been in it. Ordered 4 sides to come with main course and we had finished our mains by the time they came out. Kids had ice cream sundaes and waffles, Ice cream was Aldi special, and the waffle had lumps of sugar in instead of a sprinkling of sugar, the lady serving the puddings just dumped the tray of ice cream sundaes on the table, dropped the spoons and the tray and went. Service was very poor, 2 mixed grills came out and the bloke serving them had no idea which was well done and which was medium, he put them on the table and went to find out, came back and said one in his right hand was well done ...... We had no idea which one was in his right hand but he took that long finding out we cut open the meat to find out for ourselves. I can honestly say I was disgusted with the whole experience, we went with others and they too were disgusted at the service and the food quality. Best part of the whole night was leaving to come home. I will never again set foot in this particular Harvester and will think twice about going to any Harvester after this experience. My view, go elsewhere or find food in a bin as it will...

When we arrived we stood waiting to be shown to a table for quite a while, the three barmaids chatting at the bar saw us but there was obviously more important things they were discussing. When we arrived at the dirty sticky table we were asked what we wanted to drink before we'd even sat down with the menus, however we asked for bottomless soft drinks and asked where the drinks machine was. We then had 2 glasses of coke delivered to our table complete with ice and then asked if we were ready to order, my wife then said the drinks weren't what we'd ordered however leave them with us and then proceeded to order our food. The wife being a regular customer here asked for a simple change to her dish and was abruptly told that wasn't possible so we asked the girl to go and ask chef, then came back to us with a definite no changes allowed. At this point we both spoke to each other after deciding things weren't going to go well here after all we wanted was a simple change to the dish (didn't want chicken with bones) we then asked for the management who we both then spoke to as we didn't really want to go elsewhere but was hoping they would talk to the chef but alas, we had the same response, unfortunately for this establishment, custom walked out the door and got spent elsewhere, which we were in fact quite glad we did as, the meal we ended up having was made by much better chef's and at almost half the price of this place. The summary of this review is, go elsewhere, there is better and...
