Moghul Palace — Restaurant in Walsall

Disappointed. Expected it to be longer than normal as it was new years eve but we called at 6:20pm was told it was going to be 8:45pm still was happy to proceed however at 8:30pm had a call from them saying it will be 9:30pm so we said yes that fine, it finally turned up at 10:10pm. The portion size was really small and no salad mint sauce just poppadoms on there own. The food tasted fine but the portion size was ridiculous. Not even a full plate. Also had to heat the food on arrival. Considering we are 5 minutes down the road this isn't good enough.

Decor and design sets the mood, and the team and food goes above and beyond. Arrived for our 6pm booking, and table was ready and already off to a busy start in the restaurant. We ordered poppadoms and were brought extra over due to a delay in the kitchen but by 6.30 had our main meals, very thoughtful for a small delay. Food was exquisite. Poppadoms were probably the nicest I've ever had, and all of our meals were fresh, tender, well seasoned and so tasty. H and everyone one else we encountered were so lovely. Just last night had a takeaway delivered. The food was amazing. We selected a few items from the connoisseur menu and all was lovely but the Sylheti Baja Tikka was outstanding. Eat from here all the time and yes occasionally they get the order wrong but then again they drop free stuff in your orders now and again (I know it’s free because I ring up and tell them they have given me X or Y as well and they always say no that’s correct we dropped that in on house).
