Seafood Cartel — Restaurant in Walsall

First time coming here, was sent in as a guinea pig to see how it really is for my work colleagues who are eager to try it too!. Anyway I have to express i read all the reviews before hand and did my research to where would be the perfect place, and this was the only one I came across where not one review of any issues with the food. Some reviews on here have stated rudeness from staff. Here's my experience. Its better to book as the place can get quite busy and being a smaller establishment to guarantee a table pre booking is advised. We came in for our allocated time which is quieter greeted by Sadiya very bubbly personality and warm welcoming she assured us we would be looked after as it was our first time experiencing seafood boil bag. She seated us where we felt comfortable gave us our menus and left us to decide what we fancied. Their menu has different sauces of spice from mildest being the buttery garlic sauce all the way to blow your head off spice for the less pussy cats 😉. Me being curious hearing about their famous house sauce i went for that with a side of the buttery garlic dip to see what the fuss is all about. They dont serve alcohol but they do have a range of mojitos, soft drinks etc which were more than suffice. My partner had a mojito mango and passionfruit which he surprisingly enjoyed!. I had a plain jane cola (full fat). We chose a decent sized boil bag and name i cannot remember how to pronounce it think it was mezclaodo which included snow crab, lobster tail, prawns, muscles, potatoes, corn on the cobs. Reasonably priced too! It arrived quite quick by a lovely young lad called Reez, he showed us the ropes explained what parts had good meat to get out and gave us our bibs & gloves, full of respectful manners and made sure we were okay as we tucked in. There's a bucket that the staff change often for you as you put your shells and rubbish in to make sure you get the full experience. They left us to our own devices but we're available at any time if needed. The house sauce is to die for !! Really blew my palette away we discussed how we actually enjoyed it more than we expected and to be honest I had high expectations. They really smashed it out the park compliments to their chef aka Mr Cartel he not only smashed it out the park with the food but also was a very kind clean well mannered gentleman. I have informed my work colleagues of this experience and I for one will be returning in the future with my family. Really really impressed with you all 👏 Anyone who hasn't already come here you would be really missing out and silly not to try this place out. From the very beginning till the second we left we were impressed. Its actually very beautiful inside also decorated lovely, clean, it isn't a massive place but as I say if you pre book and go for the quieter time which is around 5pm -6pm for those who prefer the quieter atmosphere as the place will get busy and its only to be expected with such wonderful hospitality and beautifully cooked food. I may be new to the boil bags experience but im not new to seafood. This food was cooked to perfection not undercooked so no worries of gestational issues, and wasn't overcooked no toughness. Absolutely perfect. Thankyou to all three of you, sadiya, reez and Mr cartel for making our dinner date and first experience one that wont be forgotten. 10/10 seafood cartel....

I dont usually leave reviews but this deserves one! This wasn't my first experience with seafood cartel, but was my first at this location in the restaurant and once again they did not let us down. Me and my partner drove all the way from Bristol and we were not disappointed, the food was 10, did not take long to come out was presented beautifully, servings were very generous which I think if you've had a seafood boil before you know is not always the case, I had 30 xxl prawns to go with my boil bag and not one single thing was over cooked it was perfect, again as I think that can be a thing commonly with seafood boils, the flavours were amazing, this was my partners first seafood boil and as someone that was previously skeptical when it comes to seafood she was not disappointed, and also said the cocktails were up there with some of the best shes ever had. We had everything we needed, from scissors to cut shells to aprons and gloves and table bins for our shells that were regularly changed without the need to ask. All of the staff could not have been any more attentive, bright personalities good vibes and made sure we did not want for anything, it was a joint effort, even the owners coming out to check on you and make sure you were happy with the experience. Our main server giving us what he called the 'bag drop' taking our boil out the bag for us and presenting it on the tray and drizzling it with the juices from the bag. I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Seafood Cartel in Willenhall, and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish.
