Georgie, a massive thank you to you and your team. We have just had an amazing dining experience at "The Abbey Field." We didn't go for a starter as we already had eyed up the menu on your website, and I already knew I'd be having the bakewell tart with custard. We started off with our mains, a smothered chicken ( similar to Hunters chicken) and a rum and coke glazed gammon with all the trimmings. You only need to look at my photos to see how well they were presented. We were not disappointed. Both of our meals were perfectly cooked, the chips were the best we have tasted in a long time, the whole meal was thoroughly enjoyable. This was washed down with a nice glass of Aspalls cider with black currant and a draught pint of carling. Desert...wowwwww, as predicted, I chose the bakewell and custard, and it tasted amazing. My partner chose a banana waffle with butter scotch ice cream. Again, my pictures show how well these were presented. We really could have eaten them again.. I definitely recommend this restaurant. If you are looking for quality food, served to perfection, you will not be disappointed. There is limited street parking outside. However, don't let this put you off as there is a huge council operated carpark at Abbey Fields Park, which is a 3-minute walk away. Please note that the restaurant operates a cashless system and is a card only. However, I did leave a cash tip as it was worth every penny. See you soon on our next visit 👍

Came for lunch on a bank holiday, surprisingly not too busy. I ordered the steak ciabatta medium rare - steak was edging towards medium, ciabatta was nicely toasted but wasn’t very hot. Swapped out the fries for chips, had the mustard mayo on the side (as I’m not a huge fan of English mustard so I found adding a small amount was sufficient for me). However the dripping that comes with it is delicious! I wish it had come in a bowl so that I could dunk the sandwich into it. For dessert I ordered the salted caramel sundae - who would’ve thought that putting cheesecake into a sundae was a thing?! But what a tasty idea, alongside brownies and plenty of salted caramel. All in all the food was good, but not perfect (but tasty enough for me to still eat it all). Would happily come again though, but will try something else on the menu. Bonus - offers discount with Blue Light Card (but excludes bank holidays!)

Came for a family birthday meal having been on several occasions previously, both to this one and other Loch Fyne restaurants. To say we were disappointed was an understatement.

Ordered drinks, starters and mains and then sat and waited. And waited. And waited. Eventually the starters turned up which were average at best.

The starters were cleared and we then sat and waited for the mains. We arrived at 7pm and placed our order at about 7.20. We started making bets how long the mains would take at about 8.25. One of us said 25 minutes. I suggested not before 9. Have a guess who won?

At 9pm we were told that our food was just being plated and the manager came and apologised for the wait profusely. At 9.15, the manager came back again, to say that our food was just being plated. The confused looks on our faces seemed to throw him a bit. We informed him that we had already been told this, by him, 15 minutes ago. We then waited a further 5-10 minutes before our food arrived.

The tuna steak arrived and was barely lukewarm. We knew this, because the butter on top, didn't melt even slightly but we didn't think it was worth sending back given how long it had taken to arrive. The rest of the food was average at best again.

Their only saving grace was that they offered us a 50% discount on the price by way of an apology. But at no point did we get any explanation. If you're having issues with the kitchen, just tell your customers. I would have been quite happy and understanding if the head chef had called in sick or you were understaffed. But all we received were several awkward apologies from the manager who didn't entirely seem like he knew how to deal with...

My Mum stayed here last weekend . As our place is too small for her to stay with us , The Abbey Field was the ideal location for Mum to stay nearby. We needed to meet up locally with Family from across the Midlands , for a Wake that was delayed by covid . Firstly , a huge Thank you to the Staff for looking after my Mum so well , she was thrilled at how friendly & helpful everyone was : Reception , Restaurant , Cleaning Staff , everyone was so kind to Mum & as her stay was for a Family matter that was dear to us all , having somewhere nice & welcoming for her to stay was a real comfort to us . Mum stayed for 2 nights , my Wife & I dined with her at The Abbey Field on Friday night. A very pleasant , spacious dining area . We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals ( very well kept Tribute Ale , too ) . The Staff were friendly , attentive , helpful & a credit to the establishment . The restaurant & accommodation were spotlessly clean . Mum thought her room was cosy , comfortable & her breakfasts were cheerfully made to her requirements . As for location : Mum thought it was wonderful to be able to have morning & evening strolls in the beautiful Abbey Fields , which are just across the road from the hotel. The only minus point is the stairs , which are quite steep for someone of Senior years who might not be quite as agile , but Mum managed them well . All in all , a very positive experience . My Mum would like to stay at The Abbey Field again , on subsequent visits to Kenilworth.

Thank you again to the lovely Staff who helped my Mum & Family to make a special occasion of such an important...
