Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Watford

This Costa is in Next at the Atria Centre. Comfortable seats which are usually dirty or stained. Has attentive staff but service is slow. The lattes were somewhat bitter as is usual nowadays. It seems that Costa is using a cheaper blend of coffee than of yesteryear. Why is it all about profit? UPDATE: Visited today 14/04/23 and had a small latte. It was just like drinking hot milk. If you ask for a takeaway you get two shots, if not a takeaway cup it's one shot. I won't be forgetting this in future. Anyway, the really disappointing feature of our shopping break was that the almond croissants were stale. I am quite serious about this, £2.20 for a stale croissant? I should have complained but the queue was too long. Also, a lot of the chair seating is stained and dirty. I went to Costa today, so glad there is now one on my usual route. However I was soooo disappointed to discover that their food items are now cheaper to eat in than take out. This was the other way round prior to COVID-19. Also you can't get the cheaper option because you can't sit in because of Covid. That is so poor. Costa cashing in, I will remember that when we get back to normal and they reverse the eating in to be more expensive than taking out. ...

I found the girl with the pink hair a bit impatient with me when I took a bit of time to choose my drink as the screen kept changing. I also spilt a bit of my hot drink after this girl made it. I apologised and asked for a tissue to wipe the mess and she looked annoyed and past me a tissue. It was not nice to be treated like that. I have ADHD so can be a bit scatter brained.
