Leavesden Tandoori — Restaurant in Watford

This is the first time we have ordered from here and our order was for just 6 naan - instead we were delivered tandoori roti and were charged £16.50 😲

I called them to inform them of the mix up and explained that I had ordered naan not roti. The guy that took the original order was rude, abrupt and defensive - saying I had ordered the roti and that he wasn't to blame!

Had he apologized and accepted his mistake I would have left the matter. However his attitude was wrong, and so I firmly demanded the 6 naans I had originally ordered or a refund. He said he would only give me the naans if I brought the rotis back to the restaurant myself!!

A naan is really the simplest item I can think to place at any Indian restaurant - and if they got this wrong and then blamed the customer, you can imagine how terrible this place is!

Add further insult to injury - the tandoori rotis we received were all rubbery and chewy so we couldn't even eat them; instead we had bread with our meal.

Avoid this place like the plague! Terrible food and...

I am from Bradford and I have eaten curry since I was six years old and I have never tasted an onion badji that tasted just as old cooking fat like that one did.Sorry I used to look up to this takeaway but after what I have just been delivered (which was late anyway),never again.

Sorry but had to add a little bit more.I only ordered two mixed starters and ended up with 11 trays of random things,normally a mixed starter is a samosa chicken tikka meat onion badji and a bit of kebab.Sorry I’m not one for leaving reviews but I think tonight was probably the biggest let down ordering a curry that I’ve experienced in the past few years and I will never order again...

The absolute BEST takeaway in Watford. They don't skimp on portion sizes, their prices are far better than anywhere in the area and the quality is spot on!

I went to Indian sizzler last week and had to pay £12 for a curry, I got the same thing from Leavesden Tandoori and payed around £7 and it was so much better!

Honestly, can't give this place enough...
