Taste of Lahore, a culinary haven nestled in the heart of the city, offers an exquisite blend of ambiance, service, and flavors that culminate in a distinctive dining experience. From the moment I stepped through the doors, the restaurant's inviting ambience embraced me. The tasteful decor, warm lighting, and carefully curated seating arrangements created an atmosphere that struck a harmonious balance between modernity and traditional charm.
The dining journey began with the attentive and polite server, setting the tone for an evening that promised gastronomic delights. The server's efficiency was noteworthy; their quick response to our requests and genuine warmth added a personal touch to the overall experience. It was evident that the staff took pride in ensuring patrons felt not just attended to, but genuinely welcomed.
The culinary adventure unfolded as we delved into the menu, eager to explore the diverse offerings. The Full Flame Chicken with chips proved to be a standout dish, a symphony of flavors that danced on the palate. The succulent chicken, perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection, paired harmoniously with the crispiness of the accompanying chips. It was a testament to the chef's mastery in blending spices and textures.
Equally captivating was the Achar Lamb with Naan and Tandoori Roti, a gastronomic journey through the rich tapestry of Pakistani flavors. The Achar Lamb, marinated in a tangy and aromatic blend of pickling spices, showcased the restaurant's commitment to authentic taste. The accompanying Naan and Tandoori Roti were impeccable — freshly baked, with the right balance of softness and char.
However, amidst the culinary excellence and impeccable service, the euphoria was interrupted at the cashier's counter. The encounter with the cashier proved to be a stark contrast to the rest of the evening. Despite the overall positive experience, the cashier's demeanor was disappointingly rude. This unexpected twist left a bitter aftertaste, highlighting the significance of every staff member's role in shaping the overall perception of a restaurant.
It's disheartening when a single negative interaction can overshadow an otherwise flawless dining experience. In the case of Taste of Lahore, the rudeness exhibited by the cashier created an incongruity that lingered in our memories. It prompts reflection on the importance of consistent customer service throughout all facets of a restaurant, from the kitchen to the front of house.
While one unpleasant encounter does not negate the positive aspects of the evening, it does underscore the delicate balance that establishments must maintain to ensure a holistic and memorable dining experience. Perhaps it serves as a reminder that, in the competitive landscape of the restaurant industry, customer service is not a secondary consideration but an integral part of the overall product.
In conclusion, Taste of Lahore stands as a testament to the culinary prowess and commitment to ambiance and service. The Full Flame Chicken, Achar Lamb, and the overall dining experience left an indelible mark on my gastronomic journey. However, the hiccup at the cashier's counter serves as a reminder of the fragility of a positive dining experience and the need for consistency across all facets of...
Read moreOK, so where do I start? I've been coming to this restaurant for about 3-4 years now. I love their food, its probably the best in Watford. (well it IS.) They have the best grills, best curry, best customer service. BUT for the past few months, there has been a few changes due to the presence of a Polish/Romanian waitress. I have seen her before while I wait for my food, she doesn't have any kind of respect or politeness or status for customers. She LITERALLY DOESN'T. She's also playing with her hair literally all the time, I mean, COME ON, you guys have a 4 star hygiene rating and this girls just ruining everything. She's also tickling and playing around with the waiters WHILE they are working. Now you may ask why or how, or explain, but she just is. I think she needs to leave her job and find a place where she doesn't have any contact with customers, an office or a cleaner or anything, but I do recommend she leaves this job. She also came up to me while I was enjoying my great food and started asking me for a good review, mentioning to write that she is an "outstanding" waitress. 😩 If you would like a review for your food, I would love to leave one. If I was to give you a review I would give it to you by my own standards, NOT what you tell me to write? And also not to mention, she didn't give my daughter's drink which came with a meal.
For all the people that will read this review, please, if you are told by her to leave a good review, don't mind, the food yeah no problem, but for the waitress, please don't waste your time writing good reviews about her. Even a few minutes ago, I read a few reviews mentioning that Oh the waitress was soooo good and blah blah. Just don't please don't. If she comes up to you asking for that stuff, just tell her to F off.
This rating goes for that waitress only, and i would like to give a 5-star for the food, the kind manager that works there, and the amazing other staff. Thanks for serving us well. (That doesn't apply to you, WAITRESS!)I love this place. Keep it going guys. X
Overall, definitely recommend this play, better than Nando's up the street. Lovely food. Suits all appetites. Very Very quick service. They will literally give your food in max 5 - 7 mins.

Read moreDuring my recent visit to Taste of Lahore in Watford, I found myself immersed in the rich flavors and aromatic spices synonymous with Pakistani cuisine. The restaurant, known for its authentic dishes, lived up to its reputation, especially when it came to their kebabs.
The kebabs were nothing short of spectacular, offering a perfect blend of spices and herbs that were both tantalizing and memorable. Each bite was a testament to the chef’s expertise in balancing flavors, ensuring that the meat was succulent, tender, and cooked to perfection. The accompanying sauces and sides complemented the kebabs beautifully, enhancing the overall dining experience.
However, while the culinary experience was exceptional, the service aspect left something to be desired. The wait times were longer than anticipated, and there seemed to be a lack of coordination among the staff, leading to some confusion and delays in service. While the staff were courteous, the efficiency and attentiveness needed to match the high standards set by the food were not consistently met.
Despite these service challenges, the quality and flavor of the food at Taste of Lahore in Watford make it a worthwhile destination for anyone seeking authentic Pakistani cuisine. The restaurant’s ability to deliver such delightful kebabs speaks volumes about their commitment to culinary excellence.
In conclusion, my experience at Taste of Lahore was largely positive, primarily due to the exceptional taste of their kebabs. With some improvements in service, I believe this restaurant has the potential to offer a truly outstanding dining experience. Therefore, I give Taste of Lahore in Watford a well-earned four-star review, acknowledging their culinary strengths while noting the area where there is room for...
