The Victoria — Restaurant in Watford

Been served by a lovely pair Lucy, and Corey (I think??? Young man with dreamy eyes and lovely brunette tresses). Both of them listened to my boring ramblings, and helped me so much with directions - even though they were busy. I only planned to come in for an extremely quick one, but have ended up choosing this place for my whole evening. I tipped them, and they were so humble they tried to stop me. They didn’t succeed though.

This is over the Christmas and NYE break when them two could be out, living their own lives to 100% but no, they’re here and they have truly made the end of my year.

I go to lots of pubs, but truly, truly, these two are so stand-out. I will always know now, that the Victoria is somewhere where you have truly special staff.

Please treat them. Please at least recognise them and appraise, or give them a letter of recommendation for any next role they fall into. I was a bartender once, and I wasn’t a patch on these two. They’re truly lovely.

I just read another review saying this place was an "average local pub" and you call yourself "local guide', for real? For those who really wants to know about the place and the value of people here please check this review.

I went there in Saturday night alone (foreign and outsider in the town) around 9pm just for quick beer and I stayed there till 2am, they allow me to participate in their conversations, share trips anecdotes, sports, event one of the guys used to live in my country (in south America) years ago. We all laughed when I told them that I was in town for holidays, you need to have a serious conversation with your travel agent they said.

I cannot say I am expert in review or pubs, but for me it was not an “average local pub” it was a great place with amazing people, I guess that all nights are not the same but that night they let me be part of their family, thanks a lot. All the best guys (Tommy, Seymour, Richie, James) hope to...

We are SO happy to have found this place!! Such a nice place with a really surprising, very chill and very special outdoor area where you really don’t notice the road! The food was truly incredible with both, veggie and meat options that were creative and delicious.
