I don’t really want to be leaving this review but I’ve actually been left no choice.
We ordered some lamb pasta amongst a few other bits yesterday through Just Eat from this branch of Zizzi and the food was horrendous - won’t go into detail but it was 2 bowls of watery slop that I wouldn’t even feed my dog. I then contacted the branch itself in Farnham and was basically told that they were not interested and to take my complaint up with Just Eat.
I reiterated that the food was cooked by them and not Just Eat but the lady I spoke to was not interested at all and would. It even listen to my complaint.
I then got in contact with Just eat and low and behold - there is no option under their complaint section for the food being poor, only if it arrives cold so I clicked that button to make a start with logging my complaint but explained that it wasn’t about it being cold, it was about the food being terrible / beyond terrible. They have offered my a £5 voucher which I declined and that is the best they can do.
I have been robbed of £45 for food which I would not give to my worst enemy and the restaurant itself were not interested and neither is just eat.
It’s a shame because we eat in the Farnham branch regularly and will continue to do so, I want this complaint to be taken seriously and if I am refunded for the money I wasted on food I had to throw away then I will remove this review, it’s purely here to try and get someone’s attention and to have the right thing done.
Outrageous service with no one taking accountability for a shocking meal...
Read moreVisit was disappointing. Table booked for 5pm on a Sunday because eating with a toddler. Arrived, only 2 other tables seated. Stood waiting to be acknowledged for a few minutes despite staff passing by. It doesn't take long to say hi and "be with you in a minute". Seated and took 10 minutes to be approached for order, even just for drinks. When ordering we were not told that various dishes were unavailable until we tried to order them! This should be explicit from the outset when given menus 3 of the main non pizza dishes unavailable. Food arrived quickly but it just wasn't up to the same standard or presentation that we, as regular Zizzi customers have come to expect. We were never asked if we wanted more drinks and getting someone's attention proved tricky. There appeared to be only two non uniformed members of staff serving with a couple of other staff in Zizzi t-shirts behind the bar. Despite having a crying toddler and clearly trying to settle up, the bill was bought over and then it took another age to be able to pay it!. All in all, service was poor, food was average and the venue itself is looking tired and a bit grubby. Not a great experience and will probably now swerve...
Read moreDecided to go for a meal as a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 four year olds) and we've been to this Zizzi's plenty of times so thought we couldn't go wrong. We should have just stayed at home!! We went for an early dinner at 4pm. There were a maximum of 6 tables being used in the restaurant the whole time we were there. We ordered garlic bread to start - burnt. Two pasta dishes - both quite nice, no complaints, except the portion sizes were tiny. 2 kids pizzas - ok, although both had caught on the outside. We then waited over 40 minutes from finishing mains before I got fed up and asked the manager if someone could clear our plates. I also pointed out to him that there were 2 other families who had been waiting for service for a long time too. The manager grunted back to me, not apologetic at all and eventually, plates were cleared and dessert orders were taken. I wouldn't have bothered with dessert but the kids wanted ice cream. We were there for 2 hours in total in an empty restaurant. I dread to think what the service is like when its busy, if this was the standard with only 6 tables being used!! Exceptionally poor service. Tiny portions. Average food. We won't be back....
