I felt sorry for the two young members of staff who were trying to run a packed cafe this afternoon. Waiting times were 30 mins plus, with no warning there were long waiting times prior to order. Customers becoming frustrated and angry with the young staff over wrong orders, mine was also wrong, but I thanked the young staff and asked other customers not to be rude as it wasn't their fault. Advised staff to be honest with customers about waiting times as this may avoid more anger being directed at them. You could tell they were stressed, but they maintained their professionalism and handled it as best as they could.

Well done to you two, especially considering you had an issue with the gas.

Pleasant young staff. Food ok but not great. We were not asked if we wanted brown or white bread or baguette and also not asked how we would like eggs cooked which came with solid yokes. I sent mine back and asked for a runny one which came back with a runny yolk, but also lots of runny white on top. Bacon tasty and nice quality, but the fat was completely white and not crispy at all. I had to cut it off and not eat it. The worst thing about this place was that the stairs to the toilet were absolutely filthy as was the basin in the toilet and the light switches and the door handle was falling off. Looking around the café at the skirtings and window frames et cetera they were all pretty dirty too. I find it hard to believe they had a five star...

The owner and staff are simply lovely, nothing is too much trouble. The menu choice is plenty, enticing, good vegetarian /vegan options. The Smoothies are just too delicious. I tried two, Berry Bliss and then Tropical, I just couldn't resist!

I enjoyed avocado on sourdough bread with two perfectly cooked poached eggs and salad, which was 'just the ticket'.

There are also so many tempting scones/pastries to choose from. No wonder this is such a popular place... I'm looking forward...
