To start on a positive note, the food and drinks were excellent. Our table of four ordered full English breakfasts, coffees, and fresh orange juice — all of which tasted delicious.

Where the experience fell short, however, was in the service:

When ordering, we asked for one meal to include a couple of extra items (without changing the foundation of the dish), as well as a glass of water alongside other drinks. Unfortunately, neither request was fulfilled. We didn’t raise this with staff at the time, as we were ultimately happy with what was provided.

During our meal, a waitress began clearing plates before everyone had finished eating, which made some of us feel rushed.

The most disappointing part of the visit came once the last person at our table had finished eating. Barely five minutes later — while we were still drinking our coffees — a staff member (who I believe may have been the owner) approached us and said: “If you are not ordering any more drinks, please can we have the table back as we have a large queue of people waiting.”

At this point, we decided to leave due to the mounting pressure to finish quickly. In total, we had been seated for only an hour and ten minutes. When leaving, we noticed there was no visible queue. To make matters worse, the same staff member who had asked us to give up our table soon sat down herself with what appeared to be colleagues, friends, or family - at a table which was the same size as ours.

On a positive note, the kitchen team was fantastic. They clearly care about their work and take pride in preparing delicious food.

In summary: If you’re looking for great food, this café delivers — but be aware that you may feel rushed...

Disappointed. Had heard great things so we booked a table, only to be told when we arrived that they didn't open for another half an hour. We waited whilst they set up and then our drinks order was taken. We had to go up to the counter and ask for our food order to be taken. Whilst waiting for our food (we were seated inside) we noticed dog poo on the floor by the table next to us. We pointed it out to them and it was picked up quickly but the floor wasnt cleaned or sprayed with any cleaning solution. The food was lovely but the service and cleanliness needs attention

In response to your reply yes you did tell us to go elsewhere for coffee whilst we waited but also said you were equally happy for us to wait. I did show you and your staff the booking message where it clearly said what time we were booking for. Having not been to you before we werent aware that you werent normally open. I dont feel we were with you for very long, we ate our food and left and we only saw you when we arrived so were not to know you were still there Apologies we were unaware that we were meant to order at the counter as someone came to the table to take coffee order we assumed they would come and take...

We went here for breakfast. The decor is nice and light with a rustic feel. The food was what I would call "rustic posh" 😆 There's no full English option, but the food we had was delicious. I had the Breakfast Stack, which was sausage patties, bacon and an egg sitting on top of rosemary potatoes. I would have loved the potatoes to be crispy but they were new potatoes and still tasty in their own right. It was a really lovely brunch. My wife had the Eggs Benedict and she thought the hollandaise was some of her favourite ever 😋. We had a latte each and the coffee was some of the best available in my opinion - really good. We got an almond croissant (huge!) and slice of cake (more modestly sized but a decent slice) to go. Overall we were very impressed and will no doubt...
