The Curry Inn — Restaurant in Wealden

Quite possibly the worst Indian takeaway I've ever had! We waited 1hr 40mins and they said 1hr. 2 adults and 2 small children came to £78, ordered the chicken chat starter, Tandoori chicken starter, korma, tikka massala, rogan josh, sag poneer, poppadoms, naans and 2 rice. EVERYTHING was just pure oil! They had put everything in one bag so the salad bag, sauces and pancake were just covered, the rogan josh just looked disgusting, I did try it because I thought maybe it tastes better than it looks, oh boy was I wrong! It tastes exactly how it looks, safe to say it went straight in the bin, £78 lighter and no dinner. Won't be returning.

In response to your reply, my rating wasn't much to do with the lateness or the cost, so with reapect, do not tell me what i am rating for., yes you were late by 40mins and yes you are on the exapensive side but we are more than happy to pay more for actually decent food, which the food we received was absolutely nothing of the sort. Not even so much of an apology. We rated you on the cooking so passing blame to your delivery drivers is not a good look. So very disappointing. I ordered our food at 7:05 and was told it would take 1 hour and 15 minutes. This is already a very long wait, but we thought it would be worth it. Unfortunately, 1 hour and 40 minutes later, the food still hadn’t arrived. When I finally got through to the restaurant, the man taking orders said that my order wasn’t in the kitchen “so it must be on its way”. No sense of urgency, no reassuring words and absolutely no sense of being apologetic in any way. I decided to put some veggie burgers in the oven after waiting for 1 hour and 50 mins. I then had to call the restaurant 5 or 6 times to cancel my order for which I had been waiting 2 hours. Once again, no apologies were offered. Really disappointed in the service but more than anything, the lack of an apology. It is quite unbelievable. Possibly the worst service and curry I have ever had. We ordered a takeaway which was collected in the time specified. When we got home it became apparent that a member of the party was without thier main meal. When we called curry Inn they actually had the gall to ask us to return to get the meal they had missed. When we refused and asked for the £6.50 meal to be refunded the troubles began. An extremely rude and belligerent manger informed me the order could not be refunded as we had purchased online. After 20 minutes of trying to tell me that thier ineptitude was based on them not being able to cope with demand they finally refunded the one dish without even as much as an apology. When I was actually finally able to sit and eat my dinner some 45 minutes later it was tasteless grisly tripe. The chicken was dry, the nann bread was burnt and the meat inedible.
