Just got a breakfast order delivered. Everything cold. The top part of the muffin looks like it's been eaten by rats. There is almost nothing left it. One of my hash browns has what looks like a bite taken out of it. Pancakes came without syrup. How hard is it to remember a simple job like putting syrup in the bag containing the pancakes! I have a feeling the person that forgot the syrup might be working for McDonald's for the rest of their life. Can't see them being competent enough for anything. Called in and who ever answered the phone basically said they can't do anything. Terrible service, terrible food and not even warm. Just came in today to the drive through only to find out when ordering there are no soda drinks only drink on offers is a kids drink Oasis. Worst McDonald's in the country easily. How hard would it be to advertise you do t have soda drinks!

I decided the best avenue even though me and her mum were fuming, was to report it to your head office, we are more concerned a small child could of swallowed it or this could happen again, it could of done some serious damage, the council and food hygiene have been contacted also, and I'll be sending them evidence of the blade by Monday, letting standards drop to that point can have serious consequences, accidental or not, customers shouldn't be finding bits of sharp metal in their drinks or food, you need to do more routine checks on your equipment otherwise next time it might be a lot worse as an outcome. Best that other people know about this so I've posted it up here.

UPDATE 15th Dec 2021 This place has gone downhill recently and the visit today was very busy. Order a Big Mac meal with Hot Choc Delux & Fries. ● Big Mac came without sauce ● Hot Choc Deluxe came without cream ● Took a while to arrive ● Server couldn't find the table Disappointing, when so many mistakes are made. Reduced to 3 stars. ==== I find this a very convenient location to stop on the way to Brighton, when I am working there. I usually head out early and get breakfast from here and so far I haven't been disappointed. Like all McD, there is free wifi, so it is easy to catch up on email and the like while scoffing a McMuffin. Only reason I can't give it 5 stars is that the car park is too small and this means that at busy times, you just can't park there. Avoid the morning and lunchtime rush though and there are plenty of spaces

I ordered through the app, and the delivery arrived, but some items were missing. I called Uber, as is the policy, who refunded me £2.99 for a £6+ burger (If bought as a single item) because it was part of a meal, that actually cost £9.99, which means the fries and milkshake were, apparently, worth £7 for the two, which is of course absolute nonsense.

I complained to McD's HQ and got a voucher.

I ordered again the very next day, using my voucher, and the delivery arrived, but some items were missing again, I called Uber, and they refunded me £2.58 for £5.50 burger cos it was part of a meal, I called the store, who advised calling Uber, who in turn said this is the value McD's set out to refund, got another voucher.

I ordered again using my new voucher; the delivery arrived, but the items were missing. I did not call Uber and instead complained to HQ about how bad this place is.

This is a shocking service, and McD's and Uber have some sort of scam going on here, because the refunds, not only my own but also those you see across the internet, are just not in line with what the food actually costs.

McD's give you some crap about how you need to call Uber, but in truth, Uber has only delivered what they handed in the store, and many folks are left in some little void where they have missing items and, on top of this, are shortchanged on refunds.

I advise anyone who has missing items from their delivery to first contact Uber, then get what you can on the refund, then contact McD's HQ, complain, get the balance back, and demand a refund on your delivery, too; you can also contact the store too just for good measure, their email is on the receipt.

I advise you contact them every single time you have a problem with your delivery or Drive-Thru order because the only way they are going to solve this issue is by having to deal with numerous complaints, having to dish out free vouchers left right and centre and people calling the store.

This is just laziness, incompetence, and a complete lack of care and the system, for the customer at least, clearly does not work well enough.

It is outrageous that this happens to so many people, not just in this store but across the country, but as Uber and McD's are making so money off this, they appear not to actually care enough to look into it properly, in fact, at all it would seem.

The most concerning aspect of this is the little void between McD's and Uber, where the customer is left out of pocket because of the misaligned refunding structure in place by Uber, that is apparently based on the guidelines that McD's sets out for them, or so they claim, and the customer then has to spend time arguing about the fact they have...

​I visited the drive-thru at this location last night and experienced an unacceptable lack of service and common sense. The entire process, from ordering to receiving the food, took approximately 45 minutes. ​Drive-Thru Ordering Inefficiency ​We entered the drive-thru and waited at the ordering speaker in the first lane. Despite arriving before the cars in the adjacent second lane, three vehicles in that lane were served and received their food before our order was even taken. This immediately indicated a problem with flow management and prioritisation. ​Excessive Wait Time ​After finally ordering, we were instructed to "park up" for a five-minute wait. This wait time was grossly inaccurate. ​Initial Wait: We waited in the parking bay for over 20 minutes. ​The Issue: After this prolonged wait, I went inside and spoke to a staff member. It took three different employees to investigate the delay, at which point it was discovered they had incorrectly written down our vehicle's number plate (licence plate) number. ​Remake and Final Wait: 10 minutes to remake. ​Cleanliness and Customer Service ​During the wait, I used the restroom and found the interior environment to be in a poor state: ​Cleanliness: The main dining area had rubbish everywhere, and the toilet appeared to have not been cleaned in hours. ​Customer Service: Throughout the entire ordeal, not a single member of staff offered an apology for the significant delay, the mix-up with the number plate, or the resulting poor experience. ​The entire process was characterised by a terrible lack of common sense and unacceptable customer service. I spent 45 minutes of my evening waiting for a drive-thru order due to internal errors and...

I am absolutely disgusted by the service received at McDonald's Polegate this evening (29/8/18) Although we went in just before 6pm, it wasn't particularly busy and there were many members of staff. Despite this, it took around 15minutes to receive our meal. After eating, we then ordered an ice cream sundae and 2 Apple pies. After waiting 20minutes, I asked what was taking so long and was told that they were very busy! I complained that the level service is unacceptable and a manager came over and said "well do you want your money back" No, I wanted my order! He told me that they were short staffed, not true at all although it did seem that they were short of any staff who actually knew what they were doing. He then got a team member to make my order, saying to her "It's for that woman over there" complete rudeness!! I was appalled by the customer service of the manager on duty at this time and also by the filthy uniform he was wearing, with his hair up in a 'topknot' but no hair net!! Utterly disgraceful and we were not the only customers to receive this service, with no attempt at a proper apology! I feel that after this evening's experience, one star is actually...
