AGOGOS — Restaurant in Welwyn Hatfield

Just ordered Jerk Chicken, Rice and Peas, Oxtail, Plantain, a lamb patty and coleslaw from here and to say the quality is shocking is an understatement. The jerk chicken was the poorest quality of chicken meat I’ve ever paid for in a takeaway. a “small” leg and a measly side with barely any meat on it and for some reason it had what looked and tasted like ketchup on it, it certainly wasn’t any jerk sauce I’ve ever eaten before, and I eat a lot of Caribbean food. As for the Oxtail,all I can say is flavourless and under-cooked.The worst I’ve EVER had. The plantain potion was small. And the coleslaw was nothing to write home about. The lamb patty was the same as every other lamb patty because they are generally all made by Island Delight and bought in. This place sells Jolof rice so my guess is it’s actually an African place trying to do Caribbean food but fails miserably on all levels. You couldn’t pay me to eat from this company again and given that the above cost £27 I wouldn’t bother spending your money there either as you’ll be sorely...

Hatfield’s hidden gem! 2nd time ordering wanting to try all the dishes. Jerk chicken tender and succulent,full of flavour and a slight kick, cooked to perfection meat just falls off the bone. Jerk wings as above. Curry goat wow so tasty and the flavours just stay in your mouth, meat is tender and falls off the bone and again cooked to perfection, great portion size too. JRice one of the best I’ve ever had, every grain is full of yummy flavours.

Service is the best I’ve received from Hatfield so far by any food establishment, order take was polite and professional and friendly and updated me on order status when it was leaving shop/ very nice touch so I knew when to expect it.

Delivery driver what a diamond of a gentleman-never had a delivery driver so polite and friendly-read my order back to me, great smile and just had a can do attitude!

I have never been so disappointed. The oxtail was dry! NO GRAVY, NO SEASONING, JUST DRY! (All purpose season is 79p.) They literally just fried it. HOW DO YOU MAKE OXTAIL DRY? Rice and Peas, the PEAS were significantly under done. Jerk chicken was burnt.

I am so glad I did not pay for it. It's such a shame. To say that you serve Caribbean food is just lie. There is nothing Caribbean about that. I suggest you buy a slow cooker or actually hire someone that is capable of cooking Jerk chicken and Oxtail, the way it should be done

What shocks me is when they have 5/6* review (the power of promoting) and asking your friends to do review i guess. For service maybe, but for the quality of food they produce that RATING is an OVER exaggeration
