Brothers — Restaurant in West Devon

Honestly, what a find. From a quick Google search you may decide to choose any of the café in Okehampton. But I'd urge you to visit Brothers! I don't have a negative word to say. The staff were welcoming, chatty and friendly, the tables and seating were clean and spacious and the service quick. But the food, was simply way better than we could've expected. This isn't your average café - this is bistro'esque. We were blown away by the flavours, quality of ingredients and clear effort that went into each dish. Alot of the dishes are listed as being 'family recipes' from generations gone, and you can really feel the history in the cooking if that doesn't sound to obtuse. Cannot praise these guys enough. Wish we had one of these in our hometown!

(EDIT: I forgot to mention the coffee is fantastic! And they were kind enough to reproduce an off menu choice of a 'cortado' at my request. Seriously just, visit this...

Went there with the family on our way back to Manchester from Falmouth after a short stay in Cornwall. Arrived there about 7pm without a reservation. Despite them being busy, they kindly accommodated us. I highly recommend the Brothers. The service was excellent, and the food from the starter's to dessert was exceptional. Travelling to Cornwall we were looking for somewhere for a light lunch & coffee. We were made to feel very welcome - all the staff were great, in spite it being quite busy with most tables full. Really quick service, which suited us. Coffee was delicious, as were the pulled pork baguette (chef’s fav, and we could see why- my husband said it was the best he’d ever had) and the hummus & veg sandwich.
