Ellis Bakery — Restaurant in West Devon

Came to Dartmoor for a little getaway. Looked on the map and Okehampton was the nearest little town so me and my partner went to see what they had.

Went in to Ellis Bakery and I expected it to cost an absolute fortune as it is in a little town like this.

They have a big range of cakes as well as savoury options, sausages rolls, pies etc.

It is very good food, one of the nicest sausage rolls I have tried and much to my amazement it costed pennies. Can’t forget the massive latte I had!

Absolutely shocking just paid £11.00 for 2 coffees and a pasty not even cooked properly had to throw it away the potato was hard and the meat still pink. Chicken and leek pasty had been microwaved to an inch of its life!! Dark haired lady very abrupt and rolled her eyes when we asked for coffee. The older lady was very polite, but they certainly cant make coffee tasted like an old ash tray. Certainly would not recommend absolute waste of money. What a fabulous little bakery on the High Street in Okehampton! We arrived as a group of 13 ladies, and despite being on her own, the lovely lady running the café handled everything with such professionalism and kindness. Nothing phased her—she remained polite, efficient, and welcoming throughout.
