Jasmine Restaurant — Restaurant in West Devon

So we used to go a couple times a year before lockdown and was excited when we found out it had been opened (not sure when it actually was but we only learnt recently) and we booked straight away !! How disappointed were we though when we discovered how much it cost !! I appreciate you can order what you like but even ordering 2 dishes it still didn't amount to half of a full meal, then when we were finally ready for the bill £203 for 6 people, £203 !!! £172.80 for the food and £30.20 for 7 cokes which was poured from a bottle !! I know myself I will not go back nor any of the party i was with and were in total agreement, we all feel gutted we didn't stay home and order a full meal each for £80 with a full bottle of pop included !! Wow! Wonderful find just off Dartmoor. A delightful Chinese restaurant, wonderful food and the staff so friendly....they really made a difference. Am on holiday and fed up with pub food, so fancied something different. The Jasmine looks a bit plain from the outside and is down a side street, but once inside you will find a delightful restaurant, very cosy. We had the as much as you can eat menu, with a platter to start. Food was very good, promptly served and reasonable portions, you can then order more once you complete a main and side dish. Came for a lovely family meal and thoroughly enjoyed every dish. You can order from the a la carte menu or choose from the 80 dishes on the all-you-can-eat menu. Plenty of other guests dining in and celebrating birthdays - the staff even play happy birthday and bring out a small cake and candle - while quite a few came in for takeaways. The food was very well cooked, tasty and fresh. The portions are not too big meaning you can munch your way through several dishes. The all-you-can-eat menu costs £26 and you get two hours to eat as much as you can. Beware though, Saturdays and Sundays the restaurant only accepts cash...
