The waiters did take a while to bring out the menus once we sat down, however the food itself was good (I wouldn’t say anything special but good food nonetheless - photo is veg biriyani). They had run out of mango lassi on the day unfortunately. The saag paneer was average, shame there was no dessert options also!

After a full day of touring the Palace and the Gardens, we fancied a good curry and a cool Cobra and DaBa was a great option - tasty vegetarian thali and superb service, thank you!

Not impressed. Collected a takeaway; when we got home we had been given a chicken dish instead of a prawn dish, neither of us eat meat so we had to drive each way (about half an hour) to return and replace the wrong dish. They did give us 2 free poppadoms for the inconvenience, but frankly it didn't make up for the hassle. When we eventually got to eat the food, which by now was somewhat later than we would have liked to eat and the food cooler, despite the fact that we left it in the oven while we returned to the restaurant. It seemed that nothing was freshly prepared and every dish lacked flavour and the majority of each dish was sauce rather than the protein, ie prawns and fish. The sag aloo was mainly aloo, the dhal was extremely runny and the coconut rice lacked any flavour of coconut and was extremely dry! I'm afraid neither of us enjoyed the meal. In addition, my partner used the gents loo, on the way to which he saw 3 large containers of different sauces, all without lids on in a room with a door open to the elements (and any passing scavengers!). The restaurant was empty when we arrived, felt bleak and lacked any reasonable atmosphere although they seemed to be doing a reasonable take away business. The staff were pleasant but not overly so! We would definitely not eat or have food from there again, it was edible but a real...

AWFUL EXPERIENCE

After visiting the blenheim palace we decided to dine in at this restaurant because was the only one open at the moment,

Staff welcomed us and gave a table which was dirty the table cloth was filthy it was obviously not been replaced , No one approached our table to take the drinks order so i had to call the waiter , the drinks arrived after 15 minutes which is a very long wait as we were thirsty nevertheless the long wait every single soda drink we ordered was flat so certainly they used opened mixers. After placing the order food took more then 1 hour to arrive to our table children's were crying of hunger we could see every single table that arrived after us being served starter and mains so we were literally forgotten At this point we had take actions so we called the waiters which were careless they did not apologise for any delay instead tried to make excuses . When food finally arrived we did not enjoy most of the dishes lack of passion from chefs side and authenticity food was blend Butter chicken was the worst dish i ever eaten in any restaurants. Once complained to the managed no one checked back with us if we would like to change our dishes so i requested the bill I WONT RECCOMEND THIS RRSTAURANT TO ANYONE IF YOU CANT FIND ANYTHING OPEN JUST SEARCH...

I remember when Daba opened, new name, new furniture/decor, new staff and best of all new tasty food. At last, having had a rather ‘tired’ curry house in Woodstock where your shoes stuck to the carpet, we have a restaurant worth a visit. Hmmm, well this Sunday after a day moving home, exhausted we just wanted a good hot meal on a cold foggy evening. Restaurant had a few diners and without a reservation we were offered a choice of places to sit. Service was good without a smile, food was mediocre. No sign of the fresh food that was 5* when it first opened, rather it was back to the tired/mass produced ‘curry’. My Chicken Saag that was so awesome in the new place, clearly lovingly prepared with a sprig of garnish and so flavoursome was nowhere to be seen - just the usual curry ‘dollop’ – the sort of thing that I use to enjoy after many ales on a Friday night. Plates were hot 🙂, except for the pilau rice plates which were stone cold 😕. My wife’s main course (chicken balti)...
