Now that The Linden Tree has re-opened we thought we'd give it a look, the pub has been refurbished and looks very nice, there are still a few things to finish, but the atmosphere is very nice and relaxed. The waitress that looked after us was very polite and attentive. Whilst I can't complain about the quality of the food, it was very tasty, for the price the portions are on the small side and a bit disappointing in that respect, see my picture of The Linden burger, £16 for what I got it should have been £12 to £13, it would have been value if there were double the fries, a couple of onion rings and a little garnish or slaw. As for the drinks, they are quite expensive compared to other establishments, £6+ for a pint. I would give my experience based on value for money as a 6.5 out of 10, it would have scored 8.5 but for portion size.

Really nice place to spend some time with Family or Friends but it still need to improve on some things! I understand they just open and not everything is done properly yet! Food I was ordered hot wings,no tasty looks like something what you don’t really want to eat again! I like more crispy and proper B&B sauce not what was there on it.Hope it change soon because I love wings 😎 Desserts looks nice! Taste of Pavlova,Cheesecake very average Coffee Latte lovely 👌🏻 - Cups was dirty outside from coffee little bit don’t know if this was when they prepped hopefully yes 😊 before serving would be nice to check it if everything is ok. In General I can recommend this place ! Just want to try couple more things to eat hopefully I will not disappointed 🤞🏻 Thanks

Very quiet when arrived. Found myself a table and had a drink and looked at menu. Great selection of drinks here, prices for drinks about average. Staff very attentive and welcoming and menu explained. Small dishes, priced well. I would recommend a main and 2 sides as portion sizes of each dish can be a bit uneven so if you aren't sure between 3 or 4 dishes, get 3. Food is served quickly if you needed anything more. Food was *excellent*, cooked perfectly, looked and presented perfectly. Would really recommend. Unusual location being a bit towards the edge of the main town but very close to nearby Premier Inn Hotel but 100% worth the visit. 👍 👍

I visited The Linden Tree with my mum, daughter and a friend.  Our meals were delicious. We have visited quite a few times now and every time the bar staff have been lovely, so welcoming, friendly and polite even when rushed off their feet. Tia and Alfie were working this particular evening and were extremely busy but still very helpful and very friendly.

We sat in the garden and when Alfie brought our food out he was so caring with my 93 year old mum. He went to so much trouble saying the plate was hot and left her a cloth if she needed to move it.  He brought a box for takeaway as she couldn't eat all of her Macaroni cheese. He was also so proud of the pub and the garden, telling us how they had won Best Pub Garden and all about the new furniture coming.  It was so heartwarming to speak to a young man who was so proud of his workplace. The Linden Tree have such great staff, the beer garden is huge with a large play area and bouncy castle for the children. Plenty of seating without the tables being on top of each other.

Wheelchair access is also fantastic from the ramp at the street right the way through to the garden.

I really cannot recommend this place highly enough, a really great venue with amazing staff, we...

The Linden Tree holds a special place in our hearts, having been a cherished spot for my partner and me in the past. We recently revisited following its refurbishment and change in management, and found it to be a place of both notable improvements and some shifts in character. The new beer garden is undeniably a success. It offers a pleasant ambiance and is a genuinely enjoyable space for a relaxed drink, reflecting a positive investment in the outdoor areas. However, our experience with the food was less compelling. While perfectly adequate as average pub fare, it lacked the distinctive quality we might have hoped for from a revamped establishment. It felt rather uninspired, not quite living up to the potential suggested by the refreshed surroundings. Ultimately, The Linden Tree under its new management has evolved into a very pleasant destination for drinks, especially with the appealing new beer garden. While the food may not be a primary draw, the inviting atmosphere makes it a place we would certainly recommend for a relaxed...

Lovely food and friendly bar staff. We are leaving a negative review though due to the customer service we experienced. We visited tonight as the pub is dog friendly. The ‘pub dog’ was off lead and took a dislike to our dog who was on a lead in the garden. The first time it started barking at our dog, it caused an accident resulting in half my drink spilling all over my lap, this was witnessed by the landlady who didn’t apologise or offer a fresh drink and I was sat in wet jeans for the rest of the evening. The second time it approached our dog, who was clearly intimidated and distressed by its presence, when we asked for it to be taken away or put on a lead, we were told it it was the pub’s dog and their garden. No apology, no acknowledgment that it was being aggressive to our dog. It was eventually picked up by the owner and taken away but by this point we were pretty frustrated. We ate our food and left as quickly as we could. A shame as the garden is nice and the food is decent, but we won’t...
