My mum and I had afternoon tea for 2 people in the lodge area behind the cafe, it was really scenic, warm and cosy, we felt very comfortable and the staff were very welcoming and made you feel as if you were a regular despite it being our first time there. The afternoon tea consisted of a big pot of tea, a sandwich of choice (which was delicious, we had the ham and the egg mayo), salad, lovely crisps and a homemade scone with jam and butter. The scones were served warm and fresh, I couldn't say which was my favorite part as everything was superb. Will definitely come again, it was worth the price!

Lovely decor inside provides a cozy environment but it was quite cold. Tasty Flat White and cappuccino. The cake looked fanatic too. Definitely worth a visit. The only downside was the small hot Chocolate for infant was quite expensive at 3.45 without marshmallows, chocolate etc like some places provide. It would be great if they had child friendly option like Costa's Babycino, so it could be more regularly visited. Ample free street parking on Sundays, chargeable on other days. All the best Stephen and Will.

Lovely cafe that’s a bit bigger and more modern than it looks from the outside. It’s still very homely though. They are licensed and have a decent white wine and a nice Rioja on the menu. Deluxe afternoon tea for two included a soup and an Eton mess. Everything was very fresh, and tasty, all made with good quality ingredients. It was so filling that we took boxes to take what was left away! Will visit again for sure.

Never been before so decided to check it out while out on the bike. What can I say except thoroughly exceeded my expectations. Seats outside but slightly covered. Plenty of staff working so service was quick and efficient. All staff were very polite and helpful probably the best I've seen at a cafe in a long long time. Food and drinks are very reasonably priced anyways, see menu photos. The eat out help out pricing made it even cheaper which is nice but I'd have paid for it anyway. Had a chocolate frappe using the nice Chessire quality ice cream they have, was very good indeed. For food I had a tuna and cheese toasted sandwich. Great amount of filling very tasty and came with plenty of extras such as crisp coleslaw salad etc and decent amounts too.

The wait for food was very reasonable as it wasn't very long at all considering how busy it was and you can tell it was all made fresh. Contactless payment was super easy

Overall very very impressed really glad I went will be returning in future. Maybe for food or a passing drink or coffee to take away or maybe a decent ice cream. As a level 8 Google guide I would definitely recommend this small cafe if in the area. Plenty of parking...

Took mum out for lunch 2nd December 2022. It was her first time here. We had the soup and sandwich combination. The Potato and Leek homemade soup had excellent flavour and texture. Beautifully presented by very friendly and helpful staff throughout. Mum has a walking aid, as we started to enter a lovely young lady came over and held the door. This was a lovely welcome. She talked so kindly to mum who is nearly ninety. This impressed me. Even though they were busy, they did this as we entered and left the premises. It made mum feel very special. The sandwiches were delicious, followed by award winning Manchester tart. It did not disappoint on any level. Great experience. Will definitely return very soon.

So sorry did put 5 stars as I really didn’t think that anything could have been any better. However I clearly didn’t do it correctly … worth every star. Sorry to scare you with my error I am new to writing reviews...

I recently visited Cafe Rosso while visiting the local hospital. The toastie was fantastic, packed with plenty of cheese and ham, and complemented perfectly by the chilli chutney I requested. The salads with the balsamic and crisps on a side are excellent touch! The staff were extremely welcoming and polite.

The cafe itself is nice and clean, providing a comfortable atmosphere to enjoy my meal. I also had a delicious pot of tea and a warm scone served with clotted cream and jam. The scone was fresh and warm, making it the perfect treat.

The only improvement I could suggest is adding an option for an XL pot of clotted cream for an extra £1 or 50p. I would happily pay that for a bit more of the delightful clotted cream.

Overall, I highly recommend this place for its great food,...
