Papa Luigis is not the daddy of Luigi from Mario Brothers, they are unconnected. This restaurant is in no way endorsed by Nintendo, as far as my knowledge is concerned, Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka have never visited this established. Now I could be wrong, they could eat here all the time, this could be their favourite place in the world to nibble on a pizza. Anyways......... I came in this restaurant with my mum and brother, its local to me, and I have never visited before. I was very happy, you could tell the pizza was made fresh, unlike those Goodfella frozen pizzas, though I like them, they could be decades old for all i know. Frozen beneath 10 foot of ice to make sure they do not go off. I got the food from the 3 course for £13 quid deal. I ordered the salmon fish cake as a starter which tasted nice. The main pizza, which was the mafisa pizza tasted great. I have no idea if this place allows for collections of pizzas, but I would prefer to come here than get pizza from some dirty take away. As of the 22/10/2014, this place has a hygiene rating of 5 for no need to worry about cockroaches dancing across your food. My brother said this place was not worthy of a 5 out of 5 rating He says its not a Michelin type food and does not deserve a 5, I see his point, however you pay for what you get for. Oh the fudge was great to, you cant go wrong with fudge, if a restaurant messes up fudge cake and cream, the chef should be paraded around the town centre, where the town folk should throw rotten apples and potatoes until they have no disposables to...
Read moreI ordered a seafood pizza and a tagliatelle with blue cheese bacon and mushrooms. The seafood pizza was without doubt the best pizza I have ever tasted in my life. Not the best seafood pizza THE best pizza I have ever had. For the price of £13.90 for both dishes I was shocked by the quality and the generosity. The tagliatelle with the dolcelatte cheese could have done with a touch more of the blue cheese and maybe a twist of salt more to bring the flavour out. But many restaurants tend to under season these days so the customer can do it themselves to their own liking. I ate both the pizza and the pasta all to myself, although it was that good I decided to put a bit away for later on because I wanted more of them delicious flavours for my supper....
Read moreThe serving staffs were good, although we had to get their attention to clear the table for our next courses, which was not a big issue. Unfortunately, there was a large table of tipsy diners who were laughing and shouting, it was unbearably loud. Although the manager assured us that she will ask the party to keep the noise level down, it didn't made any difference. Worst of all, my toddler's high chair has been kicked multiple times. She's been shunted like she was on a dogem. It was not safe for my toddler and to those diners who kicked the legs of the high chair multiple times. It's a miracle that nobody actually falls as a result. Not impressed as the manager could have given us a free table to avoid the...
