Chinese Garden Restaurant & Takeaway — Restaurant in Wigan

Absolutely disgusting service will never ever return here again. Food was 45 mins late so rang up and was told they hadn't even started cooking it yet and it would be another 30 mins which then ended up being over an hour so all in all closer to 2 hours late, when it arrived there were no prawn crackers, when asked what had happened the delivery driver said she could bring me some TOMORROW, tomorrow? Why do I want prawn crackers the day after I order my meal, am I going to eat them along side my Sunday roast tomorrow? Then was told they'd send someone out on a 'special delivery' for us, and made it sound like they wanted us to be grateful, if you didn't miss off items you wouldn't have to come deliver again. Food was awful and cold and noodles had beansprouts in when specifically asked on just eat and twice on the phone for no beansprouts, and took us over 2 hours to be refunded as the manager was incredibly rude, wouldn't let us speak to explain our issue properly and kept trying to say she'll send more noodles so was obviously not listening to our full complaint. Awful, don't waste your money (also they didn't refund us all our money as they didn't refund £2...

We booked as a family on New year's eve. It has got to be the worst experience o have ever had in a restaurant. The food was just full of salt and all overcooked. The salt n pepper chicken was hard and had clearly been in the fryer far too long . The salt n pepper king prawns were just frozen battered prawns with more batter than prawn and were awful. I had fillet steak in garlic and chilli sauce. What I was presented with was slippery stewing beef that had a jelly like coating on it and was very tough and chewy and a plate full of sliced onions. The rice was clumpy and sticky and the chips were hard and also overcooked..No doubt the victim of the same fryer as the salt n pepper chicken. With a couple of drinks the bill came to £100 . It was the worst food id ever tasted in a restaurant ever and still can't believe how they could serve such awful food at that price. I will definitely not be going back ever....

We really enjoyed the food at this restaurant starters, mains and drinks were great, food nice and hot and very tasty. The trouble was apparent when we walked in, no one else in the restaurant, throughout the meal, no body came in, the focus was on takeaway. My point, I will not be going back again soon the price to sit in was around 50 % more than a takeaway. Whilst we don't mind paying extra to sit down and to be served, £ 86 pound for a takeaway and £144 to sit in. 4 adults, starters, mains, rice n chips and drinks. Not sure if they borrowed the menu from London. Great food, far to expensive to sit in, the place could be and should be packed out. Reduce your costs in line with your takeaway and you will pack out your restaurant I'm sure. Also, takeaway gives you offers, nothing...
