Really disappointed with this Gregg's, yesterday was the second time I've nipped in to grab us a quick bite for dinner and the food has been cold. Got 3steak pasties which were barely warm, a vegan sausage roll which might have just been grabbed off a shelf, no temperature to it but still an improvement to my chicken bake which was actually cold and I believe may be the reason for my crippling guts throughout the night, if not because of temperature, probably because of the odd fly making regular stops between the cooked & uncooked products. Temperature issues don't just favour food, Our hot drinks were only warm. Staff could do with brushing up on customer service as well, they are miserable and impatient, if you're going to serve us our cold food, at least do it with a positive attitude and not Treat customers you may serve food poisoning to as though they are the inconvenience. I can not recommend this bakery at all. I doubt I'll be making any...
Read morePopped in last night. Wanted a pink iced ring donut with my hot choc. But had a fly on atleast 3 of them. Guy at till tried to catch it with his hand & left the donuts for sale 🤮🤮🤮 Yellow floor brush & pan should not be kept in the public disabled loo. It's cross contamination if it's for the shop floor use. Also shouldn't be near near the emergency cord of the disabled toilets either.
Toilets aren't checked as much as they say, dried poo on rear rim of the bowl & there was 3 pieces of loo paper left in the dispenser & dried pee stains on the seat.
Got the Mexican chicken wrap. You get 2 wraps, not one cut in half like most normal places, so expect more "bread" then filling & you will have to chew as it must get machine pressed to get its shape which makes the folded excess like a hard lump. Says with salad... it's just lettuce. While the chicken was flavoursome but thin & dry, sauce very sweet, I don't think what we got was...
Read moreI lived in Wigan quite a few years now, but honestly the take out places like Greggs are worst than Blackpool we lived 23 years. Been buying their hot sausage rolls for year now. Me and wife have food hygiene certificate holders. I stopped buying the sausage rolls, because they are not hot, they don't conform to minimum heat they should be kept at to avoid bacteria growing. Most rolls in the last 9 months at most Wigan Greggs, have been below the government's safe limit of heating tempatures. Sad really they always used to be piping hot. But they just don't bring out a new hot batch before they have sold the nearly cold ones or throw away the old ones that are not safe. Safety in food is essencial. We don't buy from...
