I'd first like to say that honestly, you have provided the best kebab I have ever eaten in my entire life. At a slim weight of just 22 Stone I have visited and tasted many different takeaways from all across the area and I must say, compared to this temple of a fast food establishment, I can admit, without a shadow of a doubt, hands down that this was the best donner meat I have ever placed my fat lips upon. I would highly recommend the Shalimar Special as it must have been crafted by the culinary gods themselves and delivered by their own angels. I was first introduced to this behemoth of a eatery by my old man, who has sadly passed away several years ago due to a cardiac arrest. Doctors blamed his death on the fact that he was binge eating, but nothing could get in the way of his passion for this fine kebab and so he ensured that he would spend his last final moments feasting on the world famous Shalimar Special. Where do I begin? New to the Wigan area and my partner and I spend a significant amount of money on takeaways, especially Kebabs. Shalimar came up as the top place so I went for it and ordered 2 kebabs on Tuesday 04th Jan, what I never realised was that its closed on a Tuesday. The money still came out so I excitedly waited for the Wednesday evening delivery……No notifications NOTHING!! I rang up at 6pm for an update as it opens at 5pm, to be told by a member of staff “I have cancelled the order, its too far away” I live 3.2 miles away and thats too far? POOR HYGIENE. / SLOW - pre-ordered a garlic bread to pick up, got there 20 mins later, they hadn’t even noticed the order had come through. - while stood waiting. Have a look around this place… I’m surprised there was no rats. Pizza boxes, that your food is going in, stacked on the floor in the customer area, food kept in washing up bowls. - handles for the food, left resting in the food. - same hands they have just run through there hair… - Awful Place...
