Nestled in a corner of the indoor market on New Market Street lies a hidden gem known as Wigan Mum's Kitchen, a haven for lovers of Taiwanese cuisine. The menu at Wigan Mum's Kitchen boasts a selection of tantalizing Taiwanese main dishes, each promising a culinary journey to the streets of Taiwan. I had the pleasure of trying their Honey Chicken Rice and Taiwanese Pork Rice, both of which left a lasting impression. The Honey Chicken Rice was a true standout, with succulent pieces of chicken marinated to perfection and infused with just the right amount of sweetness. The generous portion size ensured that every bite was a fulfilling treat, leaving me craving for more. Equally impressive was the Taiwanese Pork Rice, a dish bursting with flavor and reminiscent of authentic Taiwanese street food. The pork was incredibly flavorful, with a perfect balance of savory notes that transported me back to my travels in Taiwan. Beyond the delectable dishes, what truly sets Wigan Mum's Kitchen apart is the friendly atmosphere created by the store owners. As I waited for my meal to be prepared, we engaged in a pleasant chat, adding a personal touch to the dining experience. In conclusion, Wigan Mum's Kitchen is a must-visit destination for anyone craving a taste of Taiwan in the heart of Wigan. With its mouthwatering dishes, generous portions, and welcoming ambiance, it's a culinary experience that is not to be missed. Whether you're a seasoned fan of Taiwanese cuisine or simply looking to explore new flavors, Wigan Mum's Kitchen is sure to leave you satisfied and longing for more.

Today I went to Wigan Market Hall and found a Chinese fast food restaurant. It's owned by a Hong Konger and serves Asian cuisine with a Hong Kong twist. The food is truly delicious, and the prices are affordable. It's also a popular spot for local British people, making it a must-try fast food restaurant for Hong Kongers. The owner is very friendly and willing to explain the menu, offer choices, and chat with customers. What's the best dish? The answer is almost every single one is delicious.

A Taiwanese food stall in the Wigan Market. My recommendation is the dry noodles which is served with Taiwanese pork. It is tasty after mixing evenly to allow the noodles to absorb the soy sauce. We had the sweet rice ball soup as desserts which is delicious. Unfortunately, it was consumed before taking photos. 😆

Came with the family, very small children friendly, food is incredible, the bubble tea wasn’t the best so maybe give that a miss (plus you get a nice tea free with the meals so you probably don’t need it anyways) but the meals really can’t be beaten and the staff were so lovely, the little twinkle light dining area was a great atmosphere and the kids loved them, one of the few places I’d strongly recommend you going out of your way to try,...
