Wandered along past here as not been back in wigan too long, covid also reducing options. Had been in a pub earlier that offered us a table for just over an hour, then after waiting 15 mins for 1st drink then even longer for 2nd drink, qe were asked to leave as they operate a 2 hour change over. So everybody gets up, walks out and starts to queue again, didn't have time to finish next pint (5 mins) so won't be back there very soon. Came here, much more emphasis on customer options, still very much covid observed but atmosphere so much more relaxed, staff so helpful and no 2 hr off you go notice. Will deffo be back again soon. Not to mention some very nice customers willing to observe covid but still engage...

An old building, that the owner has sympathetically restored, thus keeping that charm that's being lost on many of these revamped pubs and bars. But the very best part, is the VAST selection of lager, REAL ALE and cider that is on offer inside. Read moreDefinately improved since it was bar legion, the artist they had on was really good, would of enjoyed some karaoke or a space to dance after the artist. Struggled to find a drink that I liked, would of been good to see a light bottled beer such as corona or desparados, not really into my craft ales so for that reason it wouldn't be a place I would choose to go it would be because friends are there.
