On the day we visited (just before Christmas), the café was very busy & staff were clearly working hard. However smiles were missing from some of the team and it felt that things were an effort. We were given a complimentary chocolate, which is a nice touch but was not told what flavour it was. When I asked I was told that it was coffee (a flavour I really dislike), I thanked the member of staff and declined the chocolate. The member of staff took it away in a manner that made it clear that it was inconvenient. Another chocolate was brought out, again it was a flavour I didn't like but didn't want to say anything this time! It was a real shame that customers were not offered a choice as I'm sure that would encourage customers to buy from the range on offer. Came away disappointed as didn't really enjoy the hot chocolate either, sorry but found it too bitter for my taste. Hubby said his coffee was good though. The chocolate products looked amazing and would love to visit on another day when perhaps it is a...

I’ve only had the chocolate not any drinks but I wasn’t impressed with the taste nor the price. I tried two different types of chocolate and both were disappointing and not worthy of the expensive price tag. It’s perplexing how they can charge that much for an inferior product.

There is always a line on the weekends and from what I’ve seen, most people go for the hot drinks. They have hot chocolate that can be made with non dairy milk which is a plus as well as different percentages of chocolate so dark chocolate lovers can enjoy hot cocoa as well as milk chocolate lovers. They have a good variety of teas. Staff are pleasant.

Not a fan of their set up though because people can’t see everything they have if others are in the line especially the menu...

I went to Chococo during the week last week, to where I was greeted with many options of hot chocolate and helped to make a decision kindly, based on my preference, of which was lovely. I was then sat opposite the counter to where an older lady came in and didn’t have a card and wasn’t able to pay for her drink. Before I could get up and offer to pay a lovely member of staff paid for her drink. I’m not saying that the staff should have to pay for everyone’s drink to receive a good rating, but this was a great example of the warmth and friendly environment created within the shop. This small act of kindness made my day even though I wasn’t involved and I thank the staff member personally for this. I will definitely return...

@chococochocolates Winchester What we ordered: Hot chocolate Couple of truffles Millionaire shortbread Chocolate chip scone Thoughts 💭 Hot chocolate - incredible a must order! I got the milk chocolate but am certainly intrigued by the darker chocolate ones. Chocolate truffles - incredible the chocolate was our favourite out of all the chocolatiers in Winchester. Chocolate chip scone - we were not fans at all. The scone was too bready. I much prefer a denser scone that has that delicious buttery taste. This delivered none and I didn’t eat it. Millionaire shortbread - absolutely delicious again! Every bite got moreish 😍

Stumbled upon this place by accident in the rain. The recommended house Madagascan 70% hot chocolate was thick, rich, smooth and velvety. Not a hot choc drinker, usually a black Americano person but found this nice and not too sweet. Would probably go for a higher Choc content in future. The hot chocolate has coffee notes in it, well worth the money and it came with a free chocolate on the side as well. Was very busy with the rain but they seem to have managed well. Get the WiFi passcode at the tills as mobile signal is bad at the back l.
