When we ordered this morning, just after getting in to work for the start of the night shift, me and the other members of the team were really looking forward to filling our hungry faces with some nice, hot, freshly baked pizza, Franks Hot Wings, Cheesy Garlic Bread and other 'amuse bouche'. We waited... Salivating... As the pangs of hunger began to play havoc with our ability to concentrate, over an hour and a half later, we realised that the collective 'bouche' was as of yet still unamused and decided to call in to query where our order was... We were very pleased when someone answered the phone - turning on the light at the end of the long dark tunnel that was our collectively empty oesophagi... We asked if we could check on the order and the person we spoke with put us on hold... We waited... Shock & Denial After 10 minutes the chorus of growling stomachs had synchronised to the regularity of the hold 'beep' and we began to think that perhaps we might have been forgotten... So we hung up and rang back... After 3 minutes of ringing no one picked up the phone... Pain & Guilt So we hung up and rang again... Our hearts soared once again like a meal of vultures who have just spotted carrion on the horizon but our hopes and dreams were cruelly dashed when the person who picked up the phone simply replaced it without a word... Anger We rang again and were greeted not by the dolcet tones of a professional customer service specialist but by the endlessly repeating 'brriiiinng' of a phone being ignored. By this point that sound was even colder and more unappealing than the pizza would have been if it had been delivered when it was expected.
We had been hungry... Now we were hangry...
Bargaining At some point we expect to find that our card has been charged for the delivery of non-existent food. We anticipate someone, possibly a store manager, possibly someone in the customer services department at Dominos_UK to attempt to lead us into stage 4 of the process towards acceptance.
They may have some luck with the card owner but I doubt I'll ever be ordering anything from...
Read moreWe used this place to get pizza for office meetings a few times and spend around £100 each time. Without fail these guys manage to mess up each order. First time they tried to overcharge us, the second time they gave us somebody else's pizzas and last week they forgot to give us half of our order. During our last visit to this place we brought a list of what we ordered because we were expecting to get problems. When we got back to the car we checked the number of boxes received against our order. It turned out that quite a few boxes were missing. We returned to the shop and the guy who served us casually apologized “Oh yeah, sorry! We put half of the order on the other side”… Ok, these things happen, but any decent business would offer some sort of compensation – few free bottles of soda or couple of pizzas. I guess Domino's in the UK really don’t care about their customers.
The only good thing about this place is that there is a car park opposite the shop. If it wasn't for that we'd get our pizzas elsewhere. Won't be returning to Domino's, it's just...
Read moreOrdered a collection and came to collect, I’ve had great service consistently from Shaun & Poppy. They weren’t there unfortunately, This time some guy with large forearms manning the front gave me the worst attitude possible. I didn’t hold on it to because I’m just here to collect a pizza but after I immediately left the store some guy rammed me and my large pot of sauce I ordered ontop of the pizza flew off the top of my box and splat on the street floor. I walked back in and the guy immediately said “yeah I’m not giving you another one” so I had to pay for another one. If would have been nice if the multi million pizza company spared me a pot they witnessed get flung onto the street, I get that it’s not necessarily their fault that a member of the public rammed me but the attitude behind him was so depressive and argumentative it really threw off my day. Ontop of that the pizza this time was sub par and you can tell was made with no love as well as it being vastly under topped. Will now ask to see the pizza before paying because I’ve...
