Came here on Friday night after the Tranmere game. I bought my daughter and her boyfriend, my other daughters boyfriend and his mate. We got drinks at the bar and sat in one of the booths. The two older lads were playing pool and we kept ourselves to ourselves. My older daughter then joined us and just wanted a lime and soda aa she was driving. She was asked rather rudely for ID at the bar, at this point her boyfriend arrived at the bar to pay for her drink and was agressively asked for ID, they are both 19 and pointed out that they were buying a non alcoholic drink. Read moreYou know what I've been coming this pub for years now it is a decent pub but its just a shame that Paul isn't a nice man. The way he talks to his younger patrons is not easy to watch. He has 0 people skills when it comes to having a nice conversations with him, he'll make you feel rushed to get you pint and go away. The young lad running the bar is brilliant with the way he interacts with everyone and the very friendly bar staff make you want to stay all nigh. Paul work on your people skills or stay away when the pubs open, Don't make it a place of discomfort for people knowing you're always in the background ready to tell someone you'll bar them for doing next to nothing. Its not nice to observe someone being so horrible with people. Id rather a loud group of lads/girls having a good time than a old head teacher looming over you ready to hit you...
