Late review but I went when they were still fairly new and just opened. I see by the reviews things may have improved. A very small restaurant and there was 2 other tables so not busy. We waited a while for the staff to ask us for drinks, we then placed our order. Service was slow. It took almost an hour for the food and it didn't come out all in one, it was as it was made. And to be honest we don't know why it took so long. They cooked the eel dish on a camping cooking stove and smoked the restaurant out, they switched the fan on and opened the door to air. We were also sat the table closest to the staff area so we could see the pile of empty dishes that were stacked in the sink area which wasn't very appeasing. There really should be a kitchen for dirty dishes in the back out of sight from customers. Also when a dish arrived, we were then told that an ingredient was missing from it, which really should've been mentioned beforehand so we could've ordered an alternative dish. Empty dishes and cups were not taken away and left to stack up on the table. Just some constructive criticism as someone who has worked in this industry. I hope it does well in future and to return as this is the only authentic sushi restaurant on the wirral and the food itself was lovely, as a new business it needs a few tweaks here and...

Read moreAfter reading the reviews was looking forward to try out the food. Me and a couple of mates arrived at 8 and managed to get a table after a short wait, we all ordered 3 dishes, 2 of us asked for the Katsu don only to be told there was no rice !! As an alternative we both ordered the seafood udon noodles. The squid was chewy and barely edible and the octopus was the same. Food was lukewarm as well when it did eventually arrive after 30 min wait just for the first dishes, considering there where only 2 other people as well as us the service was very slow, maybe we caught them on a bad night but not having rice really was ridiculous. The scallop starter and miso sea bream soup was ok but the udon noodles and sea food was bland. The staff did not ask us if we enjoyed the food as we both left a lot of our main in the bowl. Very disappointing and we all decided we where unlikely going to...
