Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Woking

Hadn't been to that branch for a while! Has it changed management? Dirty, scruffy and unacceptable hygiene. It is never pleasant to see the guy behind tge counter cuff his nose with his hand! I asked them if they could please clear the table from the previous customers. Upon my second extremely polite request I was basically told NO! I was told to either wait until they could or move to another table, because I could see they had a long queue and were busy. SERIOUSLY??? So safety and hygiene is their least important priority! I am happy to clean table myself but some places won't let you! Since Covid, hygiene safety standards have dropped even lower than before Covid because there is such a shortage of staff! Not going back...

Only two stars because one of our coffees was ok. Moody miserable staff both serving on the till and on coffee. Asked for 2 flat whites one was OK the other was awful, looked like she'd just tipped the leftover milk in a cup. Asked for a new one and no apology just a dirty look and rude tone of voice. Second one they made wasnt with the new roast which I had paid for. Barely got a glance when ordering and no smile, no trying to upsell anything, we had to ask for the new roast ourselves, expecting it to have been offered to us. Was expecting better from quite a new store. Obviously some of the staff need more customer service training. Won't be coming back, too much trouble getting a half...

Lovely spacious coffee shop, with chill out sofa areas or table and chairs. Table and chairs outside to. We seemed to of arrived when it was mummy and babys catch up time, wanted to sit outside but unfortunately one table had decided to put all there rubbish on the tables and shopping on chairs they cpuld see we was looking for a table but made no effort to offer to move the above. Im unfortunately on crutches as had a knee replacement managed to find a table in the corner with a sofa. The coffee was excellent but unfortunately the salted caramel donut tasted stale...
