Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Woking

Every time I go to this Costa in Goldsworth Park, which isn’t very often anymore, as it’s gone right down hill over the last 1-2 years! The tables are always dirty, they never seem to be cleared or cleaned! There’s always food and reminders of what the previous people had where your sitting, a member of staff sweeping the floor every now and then wouldn’t go a miss!

Every time I ask for a coffee etc, it’s never severed correctly and what I get served differs from staff to staff, even when you show and try help the staff, every member of staff seems to be trained differently! Most of the staff that work there only seem to have one speed SLOW! Never any urgency, even when there is a line of customers out the door! The lackadaisical approach from staff who work there is a joke, no one ever seems to have any pride in there work! I appreciate these staff are young, inexperienced, naive and some can’t be bothered, coupled with low wages, unfortunately there will only ever be one outcome!

I’ve often been asked by Costa for feedback, but nothing ever changes so what’s the point of feedback being given? I’ve also contacted Costa customer services direct over some concerns, but Costa customer service takes an age to get back to you, and doesn’t really act on anything you say, apart from giving you a free coffee for your inconvenience! So I can’t help but think this lack of urgency to get things right and give customers the best experience runs right through Costa from top to bottom!

A real shame as some Costa coffee shops are amazing with staff giving there all, making a customers experience an unforgettable one, unfortunately this never happens at the ...

It's Costa Coffee and so very standard fare in terms of drinks and food - nothing outstanding in terms of barista skills and a characteristically inconsistent approach to espresso. Getting the grind right seems to be a challenge too far. Not one for coffee geeks. The big problem is the outside seating area. It's a pretty sad set up that's encroached on the tiny amount of square open space outside the shopping parade and has become, essentially, a smokers' haunt for people who don't mind inflicting their disgusting haze on passers by. Second visit first time 2 latte takeaways took to local field luke warm just thought I was unlucky today had latte and mocha asked for carry case and as soon as I asked gentleman behind me said may I have one to was told there was only one left. assistant put it on counter and said you will have to fight over it well we nearly did he said he a bag in his hand so was more entitled to it not knowing that I had a field to cross with bags that he couldn't see as they were in my car any way got to field 2 minutes later guess what coffee less than luke warm phoned store said I could get 2 free drinks...
