Just an awful experience, the staff make you feel as if you are an inconvenience, we went for dinner and found that the bar staff didn't really understand or want to tell us anything about the dishes when asked. I made the mistake of asking for some replacement glasses as those on the table had lipstick on them and was made to feel I was being picky. I had padthai noodles served with HAIR IN MY FOOD so I return it after ate some of the dish (looked like a dog hair then another hair in my glass ) was offered replacement dish, would you like to eat again after you find a HAIR IN YOUR FOOD :( My son had chicken & garlic very small portion for £12.00 just very overpriced for the size of portions. Landlady rude and arrogant was offered measley 10 % discount on padthai dish (so I have to pay £12.60 on padthai that I already eat a little bit until I found a hair and I ask the restaurant could take padthai off because it not fair if I have to pay for it but answer is NO) She said we are indenpendent not a chain or group so surely as an indenpendant pub you would think they would want to ensure customers are happy with the quality of food and want return business ? NOT SERVED WITH HAIR IN YOUR FOOD, We wont return and the two ladies we went with where not impressed. Low standards and overpriced. Food taste not nice (pad thai very sweet chicken very dry), very slow, over price ,not very clean services not very good. We had a most uncomfortable visit Sunday, the atmosphere was definitely Not friendly. The food came out gradually on cold plates and after pointing out that dinner was cold Before everything had been brought to the table, we had a visit from the chef (this was appreciated) who explained that it was their practice to use cold plates .
