Though the decor was pleasing to the eye and very similar to shops that bear a similar name, the place could do with staff who serve you in a cheerful manner.
Choice of music continuously playing was some sort of Jazz instrumental by Tom Media. Though I don’t hate Jazz, the music did not go well with with the time of day and surroundings. I would have recommended piano instrumentals of old Indian movie songs; I wasn’t the only one with an issue, another chap asked if the music could be changed, the manager politely refused.
The food though above-average, was over-priced for the really stingy portions we were given; we had Keema Pav and Pav Bhaji, paid £9.50 & £7.50 respectively, was the type of portion you get in canapés (not an exaggeration). However - I believe that due to the fact that the workers (family) aren't experienced the customer care sometimes is lacking. We went and the woman serving us was texting on her phone while giving my partner food in his hand rather than place it on the table-never broke eye contact with the phone . I can't believe how good the food was and the staff and chef were amazing super polite. I had the loveliest time. My wife sisters and parents absoutley loved the service and the food. The prices were brilliant to. Such a lovely place. I had keema naan and shahi paneer and omg!!!
