Whilst we accept the current situation and difficult working conditions in the hospitality trade our experience was not great from the offset. The entrance from the marina is not totally clearly marked as the exit only, as the direction arrow to show the entrance is misleading, however as responsible adults we simply checked with the young man working there who charped rolling his eyes that it was the exit only, then let us go in the wrong direction as the arrow stated ... Surely 4 intelligent adults cannot all get it wrong. I would however advise the young man that if you make snide remarks to the chef be sure your clientele are out of earshot.!!! Finally made it to the entrance , no one waiting but adhered to the wait to be seated, obviously busy but no one approached us for 15mins did pass us though (we had booked) watched as a few customers entered through the exit only passing the young man with no comment ? Finally walked in as we advised that we had booked and found our table. Waited a long time to be served, there were 3 staff on and the 2 young ladies one by the name of Jo and the chef were the only positive I can give. Obviously rushed off their feet did the best they could and never stopped, the young man I cannot say the same. We were outside and the only time we really saw him was when he walked to the cooking area and threw his tray on the counter muttering some complaint, extremely bad body language. Our food was on the counter for some time until the chef advised us that it was ours and might be quicker to get it ourselves. We had the choice of 1 fork and no serviettes. Still waiting for the ketchup that we asked the young man for? The food was ok but not great, the chef I am sure was doing the best he could. There was an issue with both tabs with one of us been overcharged by £10. This was resolved immediately by the young lady Jo who apologised. Cannot fault the 2 ladies but feel if the young gentleman had stepped up things would have been easier on all. Watched many customers walk out..... We are keen to support the hospitality sector during these difficult times and expect delays but was not aware that covid 19 effected customer service....

Hi the achore inn Worcester was quite nice place / staff attentive, though so sorry i didn't enjoy the food, experience.... There carbonara had cooks own twist to it, it seemed! which wasn't enjoyable it did not represent what you would class as a traditional carbonara!!! No cream sauce at all it was a bit unusual to say the least, so only eat half it, only because I was so hungry, / and there garlic bread again was a bit of a unusual presentation it did not taste of cheese e garlic bread at all ... the salad came warm !!!! perhaps left near a stove or somewhere around heat in there kitchen, so that was a let down too! In the bar ordering drinks, I ordered a draught beer there was a very strange taste to it, I just couldn't drink it, however the bar lady did offer to not charge me for the draught beer , which was nice her.

I'm so sorry, but for the precious money I had to treat myself an / daughter, I would not bother hurrying back. Such. A shame it appears to be very nice place otherwise decor, staff very friendly and attentive they just need to get the food right almost £20pounds for my meal ...

First time eating and drinking at this place. I don't know why everyone raves about it. Drinks on tap are very poor, not a great selection at all. The food was terrible. I had fish and chips and was looking forward to it. The fish was very overcooked. Batter was completely burnt to a crisp, and the fish it's self was so hard and dry and really chewy because of this. It was really bland because all the flavour had been sucked out of it. I felt like complaining at the time but honestly just wanted to get out of the place. Will never eat or drink there again. Didn't help that the people we were with ordered before us by quite a few minutes, and yet we got ours first. Place is clearly disorganised, especially when the chefs arrive late. Also, over hearing of the employees telling some other customers that chefs aren't very good and slow as they are not the weekend chefs definitely doesn't fill me with hope. How can such a simple meal be so mess up and burnt. I make it myself at home all the time. I can say I can definitely make better...

Gem of a pub We've used this place before and today it saved the day as we could not get into the Diglis Hotel and had lunch here without having to book. The staff were great allocating tables that were booked at later times as long as you vacated before they arrived. The outside tapas and meals were new to us but the food was excellent Greek salad, belly pork, arancinis and calamari. The lamb kofatas we ordered werent available but we're seen delivered later by the local butcher, so we opted for the pork which was excellent. There's not great deal of draught ale but the Guinness and Wainwright's were wonderful fresh and cool. The staff coped well with the continuous flow of walk ins and juggling the tables so as not to disappoint. A lovely birthday lunch on the hottest day of the year.

A lovely little pub and food place. I was really pleased with my visit here. The staff were absolutely lovely and the food was outstanding. Dog friendly pub outside so good to see the cute doggos. I've been here twice now and both times were superb. Very easy to find as it's just down diglis road and by all the boats in the harbour. Such a pretty view if you sit out in the garden at the back. I prefer the outside as it is more spacious and was very chill. I loved the atmosphere out there. A little bit loud and cramped inside. Kitchen opens at 5.30 for tea time. It also opens at 10am and closes at 2 for lunch. I had the gammon the first time and then the burger and they were so good. 😍 Definitely would like to come here again. Really chill pub and amazing food.

Absolutely first class meal today! The attention to detail and communication before our visit was fantastic, with a bespoke meal being made for one of our party who is a vegetarian. We eat out on Christmas Day a lot, and weren't sure what to expect, as we'd never been to The Anchor before. We needn't have worried - we had the warmest of welcomes, the atmosphere was so friendly and relaxed, the service was second to none and the food was possibly the best we've ever experienced on Christmas Day. Great family run pub with superb food - we'll definitely be back.
