Once we found it, it was brilliant. There is no parking on site so you have to use the public car parks. That's ok , we paid £3.50 and we could have stayed all day in Worcester. The downside is the lack of signage to the house while walking. When we found it we didn't know where to go to show our NT cards so we just went into the house. We were really lucky in that we arrived just as Gloriana Living History we're about to start a demonstration of Elizabethan dancing. Really good and the costumes were amazing. We were then lucky enough to jump on the start of a tour of the house. What an amazing history and the brother and sister who owned it were the original recyclers. We asked Fiona, our fantastic guide where we should have gone to show our membership and it turned out to be a bookshop across the road. So we went across and told the gentleman so that they could add us to the list of visitors....

A hidden gem in the middle of Worcester! I am a National Trust family member and I visited during February half term with my 16 year old granddaughter. The story behind the house is fascinating and Pete, our volunteer guide told it superbly well. Keeping a 16 year old interested for the best part of an hour can be a challenge but again Pete did a marvellous job! Definitely worth a visit as is the Tudor House museum also run by volunteers which is close by!

There was a short wait for our tour (approximately 10 minutes) but as Pete was chatting to us all this did not cause a problem. The cafe looked lovely but we didn't sample anything as we were going out for lunch.

All in all a thoroughly enjoyable visit and something that shouldn't be missed by anyone...

We visited in the half-term, they ran tours every hour from 11am to 2pm, we arrived just before 12 and the 12 o’clock tour was already full, however, after booking on to the 1pm we were able to have a look around the beautiful little garden, do the activities they had set up in the garden and sit having a drink from the cafe in the sun which was lovely. The tour lasts about an hour, and is the only option if you want to look around the house as far as I know, the tour guide was very informative and friendly, excellent at explaining the extensive history of the house. With the house being in the city centre it’s a great stop off point for an hour or two...

This is another gem from the National Trust. It is in the heart of Worcester City Centre and gives an insight into how a tradesman may well well have lived hundreds of years ago. The tour was informative and interesting. It is well worth signing up for. The wealth of knowledge and understanding the people who show you around is first rate. The gardens a very pleasant with space to have a picnic and plants to enjoy. The tea rooms are well run and offer the drinks and cakes that many enjoy. The toilets are spotless. It is well worth a visit.
